Hello All! Just wanted to introduce myself. I'm a newbie in that I just got my license in June, after taking the BRC, but I've been around bikes for years. I'm an older gal (in my 40's). My husband and father in law (and my dad) all ride and so I felt it was time I took control of my own destiny. The Ninja seemed like the perfect starter bike for me to really learn on and to get proficient at motorcycling. I bought a 2006 NinjaR EX (in Candy Blue Thunder) first to get going on -- it's a beauty. Just when I got it, I was notified by Kawasaki that I was one of their dealer winners in their national contest --which I had entered months before, and told that I had won a brand new 2012 Ninja 250 (it's in their new Kawi green - which is a little darker)... so the 2006 is now up for sale. Not sure if I'll lower the new one like the blue one was.... we will see how I like it first.

Anyhow, a cool person who responded to my ad for the 2006 on Craigslist, about riding together sometime, actually hipped me to this site...so here I am. I'm hoping to gain a lot of valuable insight, make some friends and learn a lot about these great bikes. I've already noticed a lot of quirks about the 2006, so it will be interesting to see if there are any differences in the new one.
