Painting my 250

Wanting to paint my ninja 250...Mines is red stock but the previous owner layed it down, slid and scratched up one side pretty bad. I like the look of the yellow stock ones but trying to get it seems like it'd be hard. My 2nd option is Matte black, its easy to repair, low cost, and I like the look... or my granddad mentioned black chrome? Can someone help me pick?

Ninja Yellow -With Black Accessories
Matte Black -With Regular Chrome Accessories
Black Chrome - With Regular Chrome Accessories
Accessories = Brake Fluid Reservoir Cap, Bar Ends, Windshield Bolts, Maybe Grips, Oil Cap, Pegs and Gas Cap...the little stuff

I think Black Chrome would be neat...sounds costly but if it turns out good its well money spent. If not and we totally screw it up we can just go matte black? lol Thoughts?

Before Restoration (needed carbs, handlebar, air filter cartrage, and a paint job. Also Gas tank has to be welded where the fairing bracket is. Owner before me mixed up screws and screwed a hole in gas tank. I have fairings, but when doing work took off to put on carbs and stuff i listed.

AFTER PICS

Hmmmm... how bout, matte black with yellow lowers and chrome accessories. Cheaper option to achieve nearly the same end result?

Also check out http://www.louisville-sportbikes.com/ for your a few other 250 riders in your area. I find myself down their way every now and then.

@lowdown112 - I think the yellow would be cool since it is more rare to see those then black and matte black bikes but I think you are right, it would be hard to do that color scheme. I know nothing of painting but I painted some of the chrome/silver accents on one of my bikes to matte black and I like how matte black hides imperfections. The shiny black also shows imperfections worse then the matte in my opinion. Any color you chose though, chose cause you like it and youll be happy with. Post pics when you decide and paint.

Thats also true...and if the matte black ever gets scratched its a quick repair...might end up doing it, probably will. But will do and thanks

HAHAHAHA Actually the BuSa was my first bike....long story short...a friend of mine bought it for her husband, he went to jail, they divorced, it sat in her garage for over a year with out even being started, it was under her name, I bought it as an investment to fix and sell, I paid hardly nothing for her cause she just wanted it out of her garage, I didn't even know what a HAYABUSA was til I got home and Googled it, I had never ridden a motorcycle before, rode her the first time and fell IN LOVE, rode her for over a year and 6k miles with no major incidents, was looking to get a smaller bike to use for just commuting cause it is 45MPH almost all the way to work (BuSa HATES 45MPH) and now I have my little BuSA (my 250) as my commuter and my BuSa as my Bad@ss!! =)

I would never EVER suggest a BuSa as a first bike or even a second bike and maybe not even a third bike BUT I can not deny she is a MONSTEROUS BRUTE OF A BEAST and I LOVE HER!! Hahahahahaaha!

lol Thats awesome!! I bought my bike as a favor too, my friend was going to college needed some cash, and hes afraid of motorcycles so he sold it to me for 250 all it needed was carbs, a handlebar, an air filter foam thing,(all done) and a paint job.(soon)

After my 250 I want a Harley and a Busa too.. These three are the entire package commuter, cruiser, and speed!

And will do with the before/ after pics have a before pic already

Here is my BEFORE and AFTER...as you can see I only did a few things on it but I love the difference. I chose and used HIGH TEMP engine paint since it was going to go on the exhaust but the problem is that paint is only good AFTER it gets hot/bakes so it will chip/scratch off pretty easy off of the other parts. What a difference it makes on those big huge cannons huh?
