He didn't say it was him, and neither appears to be a 2007 EX250F.

Hope that rider wasn't hurt to bad and a speedy recovery if he was hurt.
Yes, they make various types of armored under shorts with hip protection. Some back protectors continue all the way down to the end of the tail bone.

Looks like Moroso Motorsports Park (which is a dangerous track). Classic high side. Can't say it hasn't happened to me before.

Yes, it happened at Palm Beach International Raceway (AKA Moroso) during track day.
I was watching at curve #2 when this and other two more lowside's happened. It is curious that those happened to Novice and Intermediate riders; however, Advanced group, although leaning more and going faster, had no mishaps. This one was the worse accident at that curve #2 (there were more during the day at different spots) and all started with a rear tire skid. That made me wonder what makes a lowside develop into a highside? P.S. Only one Ninjette was on the track, but she kept up with the big sisters magnificently. There was also a two-stroke 250 (unknown brand) that was kicking rear ends. It seemed to me that a couple of riders on huge Hayabusa's were having a hell of a time going around the tight turns.

Chopping throttle as mentioned or a crappy situation will do it. Anytime the rear loses and regains traction within a short (very short) amount of time is when a highside occurs.

looks like throttle on with too much lean angle to me. starts the tire sliding then high sides when it grabs traction again.
cold tires... street tires... greasy tires that are hammered... or just too much throttle when leaned over.
