Look for the Purple/green pregen, Blue-ish GMC Sierra, and little atv/bike trailer. That's me.

What group is your son running? I'd love to get a tow from a young person as well as csmith12

midO will supply lunch/dinner, fyi. nothing crazy- usually burgers or chicken sandwiches, chips, cookies etc.

i would however bring some gatorade, and snacks/quick energy like trail bars, fruit, etc for between sessions to keep your mental acuity up. easy to get tired, especially that late into the day.

we'll prolly stick around a while fri evening to have a couple beers before heading back home.

Thanks Geo but I am planning on camping with minimal times leaving the track and there for 2 days. Breakfast, lunch and dinner + snacks are on my menu. Stop by for that beer, be glad to have one with you.

We're bringing hot dogs, buns, a case of bottled water, and some folding camping chairs, and a tiny tent for my dad. I'm also bringing a 5 gallon can of gas so I'm good for Saturday. We've got foamy pads and sleeping bags to camp overnight.

I'm also bringing spare fluids, every tool I own, and all my riding gear.

Anything else we can contribute? I'd hate for you to feel like we're taking advantage of your hospitality. I'm already sleeping in your tent

My plans are changing a bit, at the last minute. I have my 250, 2 600's, my pit bike, gear + supplies, I am totally full on the small trailer.

Also, I will NOT be there Thurs. night. In fact, it looks like I am pushing to get there by 3pm on Fri. I have to spend the evening tonight fixing a brake problem on the Durango and loading. If you get there before me, reserve our spot in the right corner of the paddock or somewhere else around the fence line. Basically, I am looking for a spot with shade.

Next update in this thread will be trackside!

See ya'lls there! The weather looks perfect!

Okay @csmith12, I can do that. just to be clear, aim for the same big asphalt area as last year behind the garages, but head for the back in the shade? hahah go screen shot google maps and circle the right lot for me.

good luck on the brake work

Thanks for that picture, helps a lot. hahah, we're bringing bicycles already so we can explore the infield on Sat morning.

Bike is all prepped!! (I think I have enough chain slack this year, ) I've got everything ready to go in the morning. We're set to be there around 12:45 or so. We'll try and sprawl a bit there so you have a spot whenever you show up.

I just got an email from Mid-Ohio reminding me to fill out my liability forms. Never did that last year, I'll do it when I get there if they want me to. Oh well.

Super excited! I'll cya tomorrow. My cell is still the same number if you need to call me for whatever reason. I've still got you in my phone as well.

What a great couple of days! Hot and humid with swampa** but awesome none the less. Chone tell you dad, thanks for everything and it was very nice to enjoy a few days with us. And Kevin #2 (black crb) said "Nice riding with you". I think the stamina contest was a draw. Chone peddled a bike around for 2 days and rode in the 90 degree/80% humidity heat. Ahhhh.... youth. And I get the long and strong award for doing the same thing plus putting in a 20 hour days on Sat.

Imma see what I can do about getting Kyle's pics. I think that it's a total load of crap how that deal went down.

The guy who went down in turn 7, you know, the one who dumped oil all over the track and left in ambulance... broken hip. It was a rider from my local group and I didn't even know it. Currently in cbus waiting for transport to cincy.

I did manage to pull out a few pics, but not many. Between the fast paced day, helping when I had the energy and the heat, I didn't get many pics. But here is the pit area.

I have to say that Chone once again, did fabulously and it was glad to see that his miles of smiles was still there. Especially after getting a knee down on both sides. I was super bummed about not being able to ride any sessions with you due to the rain but NEXT TIME for sure. You should register in I and go from there. You can bump back down if at any time if you feel uncomfortable. And seriously, welcome to the knee draggers club. The only thing left is to get really comfy and start going faster. You made amazing progress in just 3 track days, well done, well done.

Again, thanks for everything and can't wait until next time!

@iZapp - Nice railing some corners with you and your son. I seen him on my 6 a few times. Not sure if he got a tow from me, luck or if I was of any help but when I was behind him he looked great out there. Wish there wasn't so many red flags so we could have got some more time.

Racing @ Beaver for round 3? If so, see you there for that beer.

EDIT: Sam was there on the 22nd. He asked me for a tow, I had to laugh a little and thought.... shouldn't this be the other way around? hahahahahahahah

iZapp, sorry I didn't come over to say hi. You know how weird the timing is with the Novice group and our scheduled meetings with the control riders after sessions, and the weird delays from all the red flags, etc. My bad, I should have come over to at least say hi to another ninjetter

Chris, that smile is never leaving when I'm on the track. I was grinning and laughing the whole way around the track. It was a ton of fun!! If anyone has the option to spend some track time with Chris, take it. (just don't panic when he shows up 15 minutes before his first session ) He helped me get my issues with lines and reference points worked out. It's really too bad that we couldn't get out for that last session in the N group to play a bit, but the weekend was still well worth it. I made more progress in 2 days than I've made in the 4000 miles since my last track day.

I'll load some video from my last two sessions onto YouTube and link them. For some reason, the audio from my last session (the one that got red-flagged right before the downpour) isn't playing back. I gotta look into that. But my lines look really good when I was playing leap-frog with the control rider. I think I'm ready to venture into the intermediate group next time I'm out. My dad had a good time and said he wants to come with me the next time as well.

Thanks Richie, I like to laugh and have a good time. After all, isn't that why we ride? Is the track any different in that regard? Nope......

One of the goals of a rider should be to become "comfy" at pace, no matter what that pace is. I was hoping my video shows that I am comfy and riding well under my limit. I am glad I put the cameras back on me for these couple of track days. I haven't recorded myself in a while and I see some lazy mistakes and mostly getting my bum off the seat late. Overall, not to bad though.

I will have another vid uploaded soon.

Just something quick I made last night. I still need to get video up from my 'little wobble' and from my lap in front when I was playing leap frog. I liked that lap. This just shows you how much faster I was moving by the middle of the second day than the beginning of the first.

There's still a ton that I can work on. Mostly doing transitions quicker, staying on the gas longer, and getting rid of teady bear braking.
