SoCal grrl here. Doing fine, and thanks for asking. Lots of the big mountain pass roads are closed off and on, snow in the mountains.
We were warned about flooding but I haven't seen a lot of reports of it happening. It's been mostly snow closing roads, with a few rockslides/mudslides. LA county captured a whole lot of water from the storm, so that's good. |

Just getting rain here in Riverside Co where we're at. There's a lot of snow visible in the mountains though, and plenty of roads rendered impassable. Actual weather magnifies the inability of the infrastructure out here.

In the San Joaquin Valley, we have had rain and wind. On Wednesday I woke up to see my 40 foot tree fallen over into my neighbors property. Fortunately just a broken section of fence and not roof damage to their house. It still cost us $2000 to get the tree removed.

We can see snow on the tops of the smaller hills right next to us, which is extremely rare - but no real concerns here in the bay area. Have been monitoring the reservoir levels, which haven't looked this good in a long while. (site 1, site 2) A decent snowpack is just upstream storage for all of those reservoirs later in the year.

Well Howdy Gordon... sorry I have been busy and missed your post here...
Yes we are doing fine with all the snow.... we've had as much as 2' of snow on the ground in the last 30 days or so but most of that is gone now.... out on the flat the snow now is probably only 8" or so ....so it's melting away fairly fast. (which I am happy to see!) in the middle of the first heavy snow storm my pellet stove decided to pick the worst possable time to break down ! the circuit board had died and that was going to cost a whopping $400.00 bucks to replace.... so I decided to just replace the main circuit board with a simple timer instead... I have done this before on another pellet stove so I was aware what was involved in doing that. ...all in all it took almost 2 weeks to get the parts and get them all wired up correctly but that was probably how long it would have taken to get a new circuit board anyway.... we didn't freeze because I just burned the wood pellets in the wood stove that we have as a backup source of heat....although I burned 3 bags of pellets a day doing that ...but at least we were warm ! LOL I explained how I did the conversion in the "Off Topic" section here if your interested on how I did it and the results ! .... Yah we defiantly had a series of late cold storms roll through our neck of the woods.... but all in all all is still good ! I sold the RX4 a few days back too... With snow on the ground.... I would not have thought that possible ! HAHAHA I don't know about anyone else around here but man I am ready for spring time ! ...I've had enough winter this year ! come on summer !!!! Bob.......

I use the phrase #comeonspringdammit while awaiting.
Half way done (1 cylinder complete) with (shim type) valve adjust on my Desmodromic 800SS Ducati, later leading to a FULL throttle body synch/tune, including CO setting using Gunson machine, mercury manometer and IAW Ducati (software priogram). Why is it taking so long? *************Its freezing cold out in my garage! ****************** Repeat....#comeonspringdammit
