First track day-Where to go? East coast

So I have never done a track day before, and would like to attend one this season when the weather warms up. I live in East Tn, and know of very few tracks that have track days. I am ~3.5 hours from Road Atlanta, ~4.5 hours from VIR, and ~5 hours away from Barber. Is there anything else that is relatively close to me? Which would be the better track to do my first track day on? Are there any clubs or organizations I can join to help me find tracks/track days? I have lots of questions and am hoping someone can point me in the right direction.

Check my sig "closest track" and post up what you decide. I have been known to show up to a track day or two to help out riders that are new to the track, including many ninjette members, if even just for a friend in the paddock. You can come north just a bit and too. Mid-Ohio is a bit of a longer drive, but will be totally worth it and I am a coach there.

Oh... and more thing. Feel free to ask us any questions you have.

That's great, exactly what I was looking for! I don't mind to drive to get to a good track, as I plan on making it a long weekend anyways. I've still got to get the bike running a little better(carb clean/valve adjustment) and get my gear(only have textile road gear).
Having someone there to help me out would be great. I wouldn't even mind doing a riding school of some sort if I could find one.

I have also been known to loan gear to new riders and they don't call it the "Mid Ohio School" for nothing. $0 extra charge. They will feed ya lunch too, the only problem is... their track days are on weekdays, not the weekends.

Just noticed that too. I'll definitely be looking into the school too

There's also the Cali superbike school and Class. Yamaha champions looks like it's only NJ and AZ.

I know CSS will provide bike and gear (and food) with the 2 day school. Not sure about the others.

There are two tracks in Phoenix that you don't have listed.

Thanks Chris!!!!

Updated map is up to 73 tracks and still growing! I believe we are getting a few more on the east coast sometime this year and into next.

Soooo many tracks, sooooo little time.
