Track day 6/7

Didn't crash. First day we ran it clockwise (backwards) so it was a whole new track. I was really uncomfortable the entire day.

The second we ran it the normal way, and I started finding my confidence again. Unfortunately an issue with my suspension and q3's meant that my tires were toast by mid Saturday. I switched back to my pilot powers and wished for rain the entire weekend. It never came

I wouldn't call this weekend a flop, but it wasn't my best at all. The final session I got some air over wheelie hill for the first time, and then my bike turned off right after. ran off, but luckily the day was over. I looked pretty silly pushing my bike back to the pits backwards on the track. I was so out of breath after!

Highlights:

I was very tense but loosened up at the end of the weekend.

My body position was too good/exaggerated for the speed I was carrying. But once I get my times down again, I'll have the correct body position.
Spent some time with good friends so that was nice.

Looking forward to next year.

Been there, both in whitewater kayaking and riding. Those days are when bad stuff often happens... glad it didn't strike you this time out.

It's a funny thing when you're having an off day. It gets into your head... There's a really big mental component to this stuff. If your heart isn't in it, you can't focus.

I called off one of the days at Palmer when Sirref and csmith12 came up to visit for that reason. It was raining hard and I just couldn't get my head into it. Small regret for not riding but there will be other days.

Well... we all will have those days. I wish I had all the rainy days back where I didn't ride. Although, $200 garage parties with 30+ friends can be pretty fun if you make the best of it.
