Some 9 year old dropped our bike!
Evidently we were our drinking and we came back and found out some 9 year old a friend of our landlords got on my wifes 250 without supervision and drop it right on a steel pole leaving 3 huge dents in the gas tank, scratch on the fairing and exhaust. Us being stationed in Germany US Spec parts cost outrageous amounts for them and would take like 5 weeks to get them (evidently says the inspector) they are thinking they will just total the bike and let us keep it. Mind you the bike runs fine lol I rode it to the inspector only gas tank needs replaced. Think we are about to make some money haha. Bad news is we are supposed to move Friday to Turkey so we are in a time crunch to get everything done!
Pics coming soon! |

Congrats? lol
Way to make the best out of a sticky situation. That 9 year old was incredibly lucky, if the bike fell on the little moron, it could've been a lot worse. |

Get the kid's autograph. The kid has balls, climbing up on it, and obviously loves motorcycles, he could end up being a motorcycle superstar later in life (if he can get pass his tendencies to crash).

I'm way too cruel in those situations, I would have found out where the kid lived and buckled their bike's frame and left it for them to find.
Did the kid appologise to you? That's the short of **** my parents would make me do, parents don't make kids appologise enough now days, they make excuses and then blame you! If that were a kid on my clos i'm sure i'd get "YOU COULD HAVE KILLED MY BABY WITH THAT DEATH TRAP! I'M GOING TO MY ADVOCATE FOR LEGAL ADVISE!!" |

Destroy the kids bicycle. I made my neice appologise to my next doors for smearing mud on their walls (she was painting...) and you'd have thought I had drawn blood when she was so unused to appologising, people make too many excuses for there little shits. |

I make my child apologize on a regular basis. He hates admitting he was wrong... I do it all the time and he still hates it.

That's the point! Negative reinforcement, they hate appologising as they know they've done bad and they're being told off and shamed, so they will think twice next time they jump on somebody elses bike and destroy it. This little shite won't think twice of doing this again if he gets away scott free.

Do you do the same? You need to lead by example. I'm sorry, I shouldn't have said that.

Well got the estimate back from a local German dealer who are "certified" at doing official estimates for isnurance companies. They came up with €1,500 in damage. Mind you the only really bad damage is a gas tank I can replace for like $400 shipped. lol For those not familiar its about $2,000 in damage. I bought the bike for $3,500 so we will see what the German insurance company decides to do.

Treat them like scarrs - the douche who sold my girlfriend her ninja 250 only filled up the tank halfway so we didn't notice the leak in the tank until it was full.
Use quicksteel and wedge the ****er in good - after sanding. Use as much as you think is necessary. |
