New Brake Fluid Question
picked up some brake fluid to install new SS brake lines but could only find this synthetic in DOT 4. Everything else was DOT 3. Is this fine to use?

DOT 4 resists high temperatures better than DOT 3, but they are both compatible.

Dot 3, 4, 5.1 are all glycol based fluids and can be mixed with each other, the numbers just indicate boiling points. Dot 5 is a silicone racing fluid that cant be mixed with anything
