Squid Life Crisis

Most people have mid-life crises, but I've had a Squid Life Crisis; I sold my Ninjette and bought a new [to me] bike. As a result, I will be needing to purge my leather jacket, gloves, and Sidi boots for a golf T, board shorts, fingerless gloves, and some nice comfortable loafers.

Can you guess which bike I got?

Dang it, you are too smart. First letter is indeed a G.

Pictures will follow later today. I picked it up before work, which is a terrible idea because now I won't be able to concentrate on work.

Edit: I guess fingerless gloves does mean cruiser... I guess I will have to upgrade to no gloves at all.

Time to update your profile here to remove the 250 and add the new bike.

Did the same thing.

Enjoy that POWAH!!!!!

And ohmygoodness.... the torque!!!!

Just remember... be gentle at first. Ride it like you do a 250 and you'll be on your ear in a heartbeat.

The 250 loves screaming along at 10-11k

I have yet to rev the 750 that high. Wind it up on that bike and you'll be approaching the speed of light.

Thanks m8. I have yet to rev it high either, and I don't think I have taken it above 3rd gear yet!

I hear that. Most of my riding on back roads is in third gear, period.

I could literally ride my commute -- including a 55 mph highway -- in first gear and never approach redline.

I kind of miss the need to really work the bike to get it to perform. That was true of the Ninjette. Not so with the GSX-R. Just point and shoot.

But man, is it fun to simply say "I want the bike to be over THERE, right NOW" and it magically happens.

Question: Is your speedo hopelessly optimistic? I haven't tried checking mine but the numbers it gives me are just silly, to the point where I simply ignore it. I don't believe I'm going that fast....

I don't have a GPS to test it, and I haven't really gotten a chance to really ride it yet; I only rode it from the guy's house to my work. Actually, I don't even think I've looked at the thing lol; I just followed the speed of traffic.
