interesting and pretty cool.

but would it work if it was still attached to the hitch of the vehicle?

Or would you have to unhook the trailer from the vehicle each time you wanted to unload or load a bike?

Either way, cool design, nice job

Nice execution. I've seen similar concepts before, but I don't think any are currently available.

So many trailers/ramps etc. seem needlessly difficult. The web is full of videos showing people struggling with too-narrow, too-steep ramps, etc. etc.

My low-rent solution was a used Harbor Freight folding trailer and a full-width ramp. It works but I'd much rather have something super-easy like this.

I'd give my first-born male child for a version that folds up as well.

Yep, and they even have some that will load and unload the bike out of the bed of a truck at the push of a button.

Hi guys, thanks for the comments. There are similar trailers available in America, sold by "Ramp free trailers" and "razor cycle trailers" among some others. And yes, this design needs to be detached from the hitch to work, but I have seen a design that works while still attached to the hitch. In that the coupler is attached to the trailer bed and not the outer frame, but that isn't truly "Ground Loading' as the trailer bed doesn't lay flat on the floor.

I appreciate the work and design, but a pair of ramps works just fine for me.

For all that winding, I'd buy a cheap 12v ATV winch and have it be a pushbutton affair.
