MSF class this weekend

Yup. Going to do my MSF class this weekend.
My girlfriend went last year and passed and she literally had only ridden by herself once before then. She said in class all she really learned were the basics and common sense type stuff. She said she gained riding smarts but didn't increase her riding skill at all.
I'm ready to get it done. Honestly I'm kinda looking forward to the riding since it was too cold all week for me to pull the bike out of the garage.
Here goes nothing...

Go enjoy and good luck.

Part of story sounds odd though..... One ride and already has the basics down? Or I misunderstanding?

whoops! My fault. She only gained knowledge. No actual riding skill. She learned things to look out for, what to do in X situation, but didn't actually get any better at her physical riding ability. Seems like they did very little riding but a ton of classroom stuff.

Hope your enjoying the course and getting/will get plenty of time on the bike in the range. Let us know how you do on the test at the end.

Don't hold back the questions and enjoy!

We're on lunch right now. I'm actually really enjoying it. Having fun and meeting new riders. There are 2 other experienced riders aside from myself. I am learning a bit and am willing to learn as much as possible.

Man I'm having a blast! I'm learning quite a bit and I like swapping info with some of the more experienced riders in class.
There are a total of 7 of us split into two teams: the Young Guns and the Harley Riders. lol Yeah we got to pick team names.
In my group there is a younger guy maybe 21 with no riding experience, and a girl maybe 25 or so with not riding experience. I've been helping them out a bit when they seem discouraged. Making sure they know stalling, putting feet down, etc is all part of the learning process and we've all gone through it. They seem to have very level heads though.
The girl has a CBR250 and the guy is looking for a bike, I think he said he found a GS500 he liked on Craigs List. He said he didn't want a 250 because he thought he would get bored with it in less than a year. So I showed him pics of me and the gf's 250's and he flipped! So I'm taking the bike up to class tomorrow in the back of my truck so he can check it out and see what he thinks. Hopefully he makes the best decision for him. Maybe I'll snag us another member for the forum.
Ready for class tomorrow!

Well I just got home from the MSF class. Guess who didn't fail! Think I've got a few new riding buddies as well.
