getting started

picked up a 93 ex250 with 7k miles about 3 weeks ago, got through the the first week of riding and then managed to have a low-side 35mph crash on and exit ramp on the way home. figured out that my front caliper was leaking fluid onto the pads, hence why I couldn't slow down. good news : the bike is gonna be fine and only minor injuries, the helmet did its job. picked up a parts bike earlier today and should be back on the road in another week or so. i can see this being way to addicting.

actually i have, it was a double bank turned exit ramp and i was already slowing down significantly but with a car right behind you doing 65 you can only brake so much before the turn

well, what I was getting at is that in the MSF course, they advise to do a walk around/quick check of your bike prior to every ride. Had you done that, you might have noticed the leaking brake caliper and avoided this altogether.

in any case, glad you're okay and found the forum.
