In what ways does nature hate you?

So after reading a few other posts I decided to post this. What types of problems do you have with nature? Animals, birds, bugs, ect. Whats been you biggest problem?

I.E.: Driving (in a car) I always end up feeling like Im in a Geico commercial because of these damn squirrels. They're were always in the street on my daily drive to school. It dove me insane because I had to slam on my breaks plenty of times.

Also, I think birds would be a problem to the everyday motorcyclist. After it rains, the morning after there's always a ton of birds in the road. I practically come to a stop (in my car) just waiting for them all to fly away.

So, what has your biggest issue with nature been since you got a motorcycle?? x-)

Well since i live in missouri nature pretty much hates everyone with its bipolar weather. i did have a cool experience riding in the twistys the other day though. there was a straightaway and i was riding along and there was a bird flying along the road in front of me so i sped up to see what it was and ended up riding literally right next to a bald eagle for a few hundred yards. it was a few feet above me and maybe a few yards to the side ive never been that close to one before though

I live in Texas. Nature pretty much hates me between May and October every year. Nighttime temps can hover in the mid to high 80's.

In the canyons those mother ****ing squirrels are scary!! I'll come hot around a corner, and bam! the SOB is just standing there in the middle of the road! wont move and I have to dodge the stupid thing, which is hard when your already at a full lean lol

I almost hit a fox once but it actually ran

And idk if it counts, but on the 636 I had to dodge a random tumble weed on the freeway riding two up going a pretty decent speed, that was scary! My sides still hurt from getting squeezed so hard lol

I ran over a big hunk of roadkill that use to be a rather large fox (at least I think it was dead already) while riding 2 up with my gf on the back and even with all that wind going 60mph down the road all I could hear was her yelling "EWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!" .

Ok,

Me and nature don’t always get along. I have a few examples;

1. Deer – the old standard ya know, they jump out in front of you while driving/riding. I hit one in cage 2years ago and they like to eat my wife’s flowers (that she blamed me for destroying)
2. Cats – I can’t seem to get rid of them, at one point I had 21 cats at my front door, I am currently down to 13 or 15, I don’t even bother counting anymore and they leave their muddy paw prints on my seat and tank
3. Wasps – I was attacked by a swarm of wasps while coming to a stop sign near my house. Road crew was trimming trees and disturbed their very, very large nest. They got in their truck and rolled up the windows. I dropped the bike and ran to their truck where they let me in. After about 5-10 minutes they cleared out and I was able to proceed (10 or so stings I received)
4. Turtles - There is a small pond next to the single lane, dead end road to my house, while passing an oncoming car, I hit one and it shot from the front tire like a bullet hitting the oncoming car and i nearly went down from laughing so hard

AND THE BEST FOR LAST!
5. Owls – I have been attacked by owls 3 times in my life
a. Once as a kid riding a bicycle, mother owl swooped down from tree that I normally parked my bike under (guarding youngling????) I went inside bleeding from the head
b. Another time driving car through the backwoods, it kamikazed my car via the windshield, after hitting the windshield hard enough to crack it , it laid there dazed after turning on the windshield wipers it flew away
c. Again while walking toward my garage from the rear, repeat of first attack? She swooped down from a large tree, no physical contact this time

Some of the evidence:

The first one that came to mind are the Mormon Crickets along Hwy 50 outside of Reno in Nevada. They swarm the road -- not only do you get the CRUNCH CRUNCH of running over a bazillion of them, but the guts get all over your boots/legs/fairings/windscreen/helmet. Braking on them is not advised either as you don't get a lot of traction on a layer of crickets.

The Southern Arizona monsoon season has been trying to kill me for the last two months. Torrential rainstorms, flash floods, and high wind advisories all add up to total chaos on the road. Thankfully, it's almost over...

I've heard that one of the cheapest, natural and effective ways of getting rid of cats off your property is none other then human urine. Yes, go buy a case of beer and make it a night. The downside? Well your whole property will smell like a urinal at a truck stop. It won't just keep cats away but probably also neighbours, solicitors and the in-laws as well but who knows, that could be a plus for some.

2 Summers ago (First Year I had My Ninja) I was going out for a ride at 1:00 P.M while by brother and cousin were still sleeping. I was about 1 mile away from my house when a deer jumped out infront of me. It was my fault that I would going a little to fast and I did my best to brake but I hit the deer. Luckily I didn't fall and the only damage done to the bike was a cracked front fender.

Love bug swarms in Florida...May and Sep. If you get in a large swarm they'll coat you and the bike with greasy stinking guts. Will etch your paint if not washed off soon. Buzzards in Florida are a threat. Several can be in a ditch along the road and you don't see them. They spook when they hear the bike and the next thing you know there are 6-10 of these beasts trying to get out of your way. I've had to lay on the tank a few times to avoid collision. Bill

neighbors chickens get over the wall (6 foot high wall) and leave dander and droppings on occasion. also, it is still currently rainy season here on Guam so it'll be sunny in the morning, then torrential rain in the evening or vice versa.

It also doesn't help that no one in AZ knows how to drive in the slightest amount of rain, and none of the roads are properly drained.

I grew up and learned to ride in Tucson - totally don't miss the monsoons.

I really miss riding year round, though.

Riding 365 days a year is definitely a plus. It hasn't rained in three days. Hopefully, the madness is over.

Which is weird because you'd think your center of gravity would be closer to the ground. Which, I think it should help... but uh... I never understood science so who knows. Maybe it just means you're closer to the ground. Less of a fall. Lol

I was riding through the hood not too long ago when a loose pitbull came at me from my right. I pulled up my leg waiting to slam my foot into it's skull, but the dog must of sensed that I was the alpha dog so he backed off.

Had a few bugs hit my hemet hard enough to have my head jerk back like someone slapped me. I also had a squirrel jump infront of me at 80mph in the middle of a highway.
