A short look into Charles Huffstetlers life
Guess I should waste some internet space and give you a look at me. Grew up in smalllll town in Maine. Just for the southern folks it is pronounced lobstah....49 years old wife of 21 years Melissa and 2 kids Carol and Melanie 3 dogs small hose with lots of love in it. Ok been a mechanic since 9 was building small block chevy circle track engines at 11 going to the race tracks smelling race gas and hot rubber at that early age set the course I was doomed to be a wrench. It is just way more than a skill it is a passion burnt into my soul. Sure I complain piss and moan about the money but then a project comes along where I fix something and make someone so happy. Moved to the Atlanta area 1990 been stuck here ever since Was in the Army for a spell nothing exciting just more grease and diesel fumes worked on heavy tank hauler trucks and big diesel engines.
Worked forever in the car world at dealers and spent 8 years in the independent shops Been to tech collage for cars...funny story there the head instructor looked at me and said I do not think you will fit in my program....I was not the best school kid just wanted to be in the shop working on cars of course that lead to much trouble of skipping school and not fitting it the round hole so to speak. Yes I smoked pot and inhaled too...That leads to many more stories See I got off topic...told Wally Fish yup head instructors real name I was in the Army reserves and cleaned up..he stopped me and said that is not it Wally looked at me and said you all ready know how to get to C without knowing A&B I have to teach everyone the same way and you are going to be bored stiff. Told him I would shut up and listen...I watched him washout a 1/3 of the class first half of year. He would bring them into the office and just tell them the truth You do not have what it takes and should find something else to do....Ok this is getting long currently I own a small motorcycle shop in Sugar Hill called HFD1 Motorsports I do all sorts of stuff blah blah Been involved in all sorts of racing but Motorcycles are my passion. Look forward to making some friends here and maybe some foes too but it is all good |

welcome Charles, it's Ben from the Jennings endurance races. I appreciated all the help and support I got from you and Pat that weekend, couldn't have raced nearly as much without you two.
Did you ever get the pictures from the 5hr race?
