Chicken strips anyone???
As you can see, the tire threads (or whatever you call those things that stick out) are still on the sides. This tire hasn't seen any knee dragging. I commute only. Close to the end of the season, I may put a new tire on as I don't want to ride without any tread in the midde, so if anyone wants to use it as a track tire or something, you can have it. Either pick it up in WNC or pay the shipping.

@csmith12 does this look acceptable as a backup track tire to you?
I'll be heading down this way in early november towards jennings gp

If you're running novice, sure. It's not optimum though, that transition from flat spot to the edge will be noticeable, but for for free....

so you wouldn't consider it acceptable for an intermediate pace (the pace I believe I'll be running by the time I need to swap the tires going off of the rate of wear I've been seeing so far)

If it's a normal JenningsGP hosted track day, then just run novice. There is no school here, you can go as fast as you wanna. Remember that video that Alex.s and I did? That was novice. And no, I wouldn't run that tire at I or above pace.

well I wouldn't need it until after the jennings weekend, that's just when I'd be able to pick it up

If no one else picks it up before then I'm interested in it as a backup track tire for jennings + a few shenny days before I switch to 17" wheels

ok, that's perfectly fine as I'll be switching wheel sizes after the next track day anyway
