Good afternoon ,thank you for accepting me as a new member.
I only have the one bike,a 2009 250r ninja,blue.
I live 29 miles west of Portland Oregon,out here in the boonies,farm land mostly.
This little Ninja is about my 23rd bike,and I am enjoying the heck out of it,
the only problem is the long break in period,a 1000 miles @ 35 mph is going to take for ever,I hope I live long enough. I am probably older than any one here at the ripe old age of 72, but in my mind I'm still 20.
I shall be visiting this site often ,I'm sure questions will arise about the bike,and it's always nice to be involved with like minded riders.

Aloha and welcome, Mick.

Ride the bike like you would normally... no need to follow that absurd break in procedure Kawasaki wants you to do.

after 23 bikes and being 72, you want to have as much fun as possible... ASAP.

Thanks for the welcome and the break in advice.
I'm going to change the oil and filter this weekend after only 65 miles,as per some other advice I found here,after that I will ride it like I stole it.

Welcome Mick - looks like you just took over as the "elder" of the group. I'm sure the "other Alex" aka Sailariel will chime in before long. Glad to have more age on the forum to keep these youngsters in check.

I did the oil and filter change today.On the the way to Salem I rode a little more aggresvely,now I know why a got this bike,it handles like a dream,
I did a quick flip up to 90mph just for a few seconds,I tell ya,it makes life worth living.
I love this bike.

Be sure to wear long sleeve shirts and long pants or the mod bug will bite you... then you'll really be hooked!
