Bought the ninjette for my wife, now I want one.

I'm always on her bike and I can't let it be. I am curious what kinds on performance mods people have discovered.

And its blacker than black, which makes it the fastest.

I heard from a reliable source that the air parts a split second before it hits black paint - giving less wind resistance - making black the faster color.

welcome to the forums! lol to the thread title!! And you might be a little confused... everyone here knows green is the fastest color! But from the DIY page you can get some mods to make it ride like a stock GREEN

For performance, mainly look out for: Shimming the carbs, Snorkel removal and a third party exhaust (i.e. AreaP full system)

Thanks for the welcome.

I have to mention that some of the previous bikes that I have owned have been - '00 R1, '02 GSXR 1000 and '03 R6 and a bunch of odd ball bikes and I really like the way the 250 handles and the neutral steering.

It completely lacks the aspect of engine performance, but i'm ok with that, no more outrunning the police.

Plus, its for the misses, which i sometimes forget.

The 250 is great for track days! Doesn't eat up gas and tires last for quite a while.

I think that is something worth getting into

Welcome!!
I would really like it if my wife would go to some track days with me. She already wants a 600 but I think some seat time at a track would be an eye opener for her.

She has putted around on the R1, but is not convinced that they are scary fast. I would be more confident in her riding if she could comfortably wring the piss out of a 250 on the track.
