Cool 2009 Kawasaki Ninja 250R

I ride a 2009 Ninja 250r. She's red. Got her with only 3000 mi on it for $3000 about a month ago. I think it what a decent deal. Since then I have put 2000 miles on it. HA. It's my commuter, since I don't have a car. I LOVE RIDING. I have adapted pretty well, since I have only had my endorsement for about a month.

It feels weird when I sit in a car.

I tell her "bye" when I walk in to work.

I feel bad she has to be outside at night all alone.

Ya, I am a little sprung on her.

Found ninjette, and I got excited. I have tons of questions about my bike (like how to make it faster, what the hell is that ringing noise coming out of the gas tank, why does it go into neutral but the light isn't on), and I am sure I can find the answers here.

THANKS FOR READING!

Happy Riding.

Welcome carrie! careful leaving it outside alone all night. I know it's "just" a 250 and no one steals those... but it's better to be safe and invest in a chain and lock at least. be safe and happy riding!

Welcome to the forums! I too am new and adapting to my bike =] 4k miles on her.

I too feel weird when I sit in a car now o.o its my only ride/commuter.

I pat her good bye when I go into school.

She sits outside chained to my tree for anti-theft and I too feel bad since shes under a dusty tree.

Ringing noise coming from the gas tank, if its like a whistling noise its the gas venting, don't worry about neutral without a light I would say. My bike gets it every now and then but I know its in neutral by the feel of the shift into neutral. Don't put all your faith in the shift light or rpm because it might be lying to you =p

^^ what he said. Dealer said it has to do with the fuel being always on (if you took you msf, the bikes they use and most bike for that fact, have a switch to turn your fuel on or off.).

Welcome to the forums.

At this point there are very, very few bikes on the road that still have a manual switch to turn the fuel on or off. Basically, any bike that has a fuel pump doesn't have one, and every FI bike needs a fuel pump; the fuel pump is by definition turned off when the bike is turned off.

Hey thanks for the insight. I did read something about blowing some air through the fuel supply valve to get the ringing to stop.... sounds tricky though. Besides it makes it sound like she's talking to me.

Girls wearing clothes on Internet forums (and in general) is way overrated, IMHO.

Just kidding! Welcome to Ninjette and ride safe!
