AFM 250 Production at Sonoma [video]

Once again, some really tight Ninja 250 racing (with a Honda thrown into the mix to make things interesting). Here's the battle from the perspective of 4th place.

Very nice!

Between #250 and #211, it goes to show that sometimes if you just show em a wheel they give up their spot. Their battle is awesome! Rubbing, pushing while keeping it pretty clean.

Hahahahahaha- SNAP! When I mentioned to Steve on Friday how cool it was to see a cbr250 in the pits and how he'd get to duke it out with one this weekend, he had said he hadn't noticed it yet. This is what you get when you don't pay attention to people. That guy clearly really, REALLY wanted it, and he was not going to let silly things like other riders being on the line he wanted get in the way

I love this so much. Great video, great racing, and great weekend!

I think the guy on the Honda was Ari Henning, the kid (with the dreads) from "Motorcyclist" magazine.

Then you, sir, would think quite correctly. I'll pick up whatever issue they put this in just because I want to see some of the pictures they were taking this weekend

The bike is capable but in the right hands like Ari it's gonna do more than keep up.

the answer would be: dead last

And yes, racing against him was super fun. Definitely lots of contact going on but it was all pretty controlled and more of just pushing and shoving to make some room instead of saving ourselves from crashing. I'm definitely down to do more of that, just Darren is too damn big.

and some badass photos compliments of Oxymoron Photography:

And Logan doing his best to throw himself off the bike:

does this mean steve is going to be in all the photos in motorcyclist? you could totally bring it to the bar and be casually reading it and just happen to notice that you're in it... you could totally pick up chicks... or you know... whatever you're into.

If you read "Motorcyclist" you will find there are a couple of upgrades done to the Honda.

Yeah, I saw this awhile back but weren't there a couple enhancements that weren't legal? Well, at least for CVMA it wouldn't be but I highly doubt any one of them were concerned about the CBR.

It was all rider IMHO.

I rode with Ari quite a few years back when he was doing some of his first trackdays here in norcal. Makes me wish I found time to fit a few more in the schedule over the years, as it's fun to see what he's been able to do.

DOOD. I found myself going into T7 hard on the brakes and turning in with the rear wheel bouncing all over the place, and felt my knee brush the ground while STILL BRAKING and I was like
