Back to Kawi

Been eyeing the 636 for a bit of time now. Well my wife knew I had been and when we went to the shop yesterday for me to show her a 636; we got there I was surprised to see my name on the bike with a sold sign.

Now that is one cool wife! Congratulations on the new bike!

This is something to remember forever. I am jealous of the experience as I've always wanted to be surprised with something big and awesome like that. Super cool wife for sure.

When is her birthday? And more importantly - what are you going to get her? Anywhere cool she'd like to go, etc.?

Its the 2013, but I haven't brought it home yet. This week looks like snow 3 times. Want to get it home though as I am recovering from a heart attack and am still working on getting strong enough to ride. But want to at least look at it and sit on it!

You and Gordon coming for the 200? Someone let the cat out of the bag about me hooking up with you guys. Eddy thought it was a long time ago and I didn't argue the point.

Read right past the heart attack part without grasping it the first time. Glad you're on your way back to recovery!

Good to hear you are kicking with us still. I am so sick of snow, it has been on the ground since October here. If its anything like last year it will still be here during may. I have been in negotiations with the dealer and they are telling me the 2014's won't be there until mid March.

Not sure yet, not really travelling and I think I'll still be in cardiac rehab then.

Yeah I was trying to figure a way to get that 636 and figured the old heart attack would be the quickest way.

Some pics of my bike as it sits stock. First up GBRacing engine covers, Sato frame sliders, and OEM Kawi tank pad have all been ordered. Some day will be fender elim and maybe a steering damper if too much headshake.

I am very jealous that your weather is rideable now. I don't enjoy coming home every day and walking through the door with her sitting there all sexy yet I can't ride her. I have been contemplating frame sliders as well as a slip on exhaust but a city I plan on riding to has just passed a law that the bike cannot be over 100db. The Yoshi R77 might be close which is the one I want.

That was Saturday. I should have ridden it home but figured it was going to get cold again and have the shop put on my accessories so I left it. If it warms up this Saturday it's coming home and I'll install them.

Definitely go for the frame sliders. They are a beautiful, inexpensive investment that goes a long way. Lowspeed drops can rash your fairings and ruin that beautiful paint job. With framesliders, your paint stays good as new, helping you keep your bike pretty and your resale value up
