Wow it's just impossible to compete with that kind of inbred buck tooth zit-exploding redneck logic. I am quite surprised he didn't go all trailer park Jackie Chan on the bikers.
Definitely sad, many people have been killed by similar stupidity.

I wouldnt even give that guy a ticket! He passed someone who was going slower then him, Its NONE of that truck drivers business if someone wants to go faster then him. IF he is REALLY worried about it. Pull over call the cops out get the motorcyclist a ticket for speeding. Swerving to block and almost kill someone is not an appropriate response, EVER. Flip him off, but dont swerve all over the road trying to keep up with him putting even MORE people in danger...

Haven't seen that before...holy sh*t. What did that guy think was gonna happen if he hit the bike...a little fender bender, some paint rubbed off? Unbelievable.

No time to read all 7 pages, but skimmed.

- First and foremost, the truck driver guy deserves to be impaled on that tire iron Vlad-style (look it up).

- Cars are deadly weapons, but are almost uniformly not treated as such when people commit assault or even murder with them. It's not right or fair, but it's fact. The Ninja and I combined are outweighed 8-10x or more by every car out there and ride accordingly.

- On 4 wheels or 2, I'm not interested in enforcing the speed limit or even my own idea of what a reasonable overage of the speed limit is; you wanna go faster, go faster. I won't cut off the car I just passed to let you by, but I'll move over as soon as I've established a safe distance.

- On the flip side, I do not have some inherent right to speed on public roads or even to go the speed limit if doing so means an unsafe pass. If I wanna unleash the full potential of my car or bike, there are race courses for that. Even on the track, unsafe passes will get you a penalty.

- If a person escapes danger, then stops to resume the confrontation, what happens afterwards is not self-defense. We may not (see your state's laws) have a "duty to retreat" in our homes, but we certainly do out on the open road.

Just a note on your last bulletin. If you are referring to the rider stopping, it wasn't to continue the confrontation. They were supposedly brothers out riding (or so I had read at one point), so he had stopped off to the side of the road to wait for him after he must have thought he was safe. If you notice, his body language is more of surprise at seeing the truck again. The truck driver got out with the appearance of expecting a confrontation.

That's the only bulletin I don't fully agree with. Carry on.

Update from pnwriders forum:

Quote:
You've probably seen the video:

I just did some digging and found out that he plead guilty to 2 counts of Wanton Endangerment (1-5 year sentence per charge). 1 count of menacing (up to 90 days) and 1 count of reckless driving (fine).

His sentencing is scheduled for 12/15/2011 and the previous plea offer (which was rejected and I'm having trouble finding the one that was accepted) had these conditions:

Ct1 (WE)2yrs imprisonment
Ct2 (WE) 2yrs imprisonment
Ct3 (Menacing)90 days incarceration
Ct4 (Reckless Driving) $100 fine

I would hope that the one that was plead to was similar, which means he will probably be getting some jail time.

Edit:

I just found that he has been in custody since his arrest in June. He did not post bail:

Offender ID: 204599
Date of Birth: 01/07/1983
Age: 28
Race: White
Gender: Male

Wait...that was him in the vid? I thought it was an older guy driving a pickup truck...well, at least that's what it sounded & looked like in the vid. I must be mistaking this with another one.

I can't view vid @ work but can someone confirm if I'm thinking of the same vid/person?

2 years. I wouldn't have bet on any jail time, so I guess that's a reasonably appropriate outcome to this. He plead guilty, you wonder what may have happened if he took it to trial.
