JRE exhaust for 88-07
I am selling a compete JRE exhaust system. The JRE Mufflers and link pipes were ordered directly from Australia, took 4 months to arrive. I am also including a stainless header. These were on the bike for maybe 500 miles, I removed them because I found a 2 to 1 Muzzy system. These were shipped without the JRE emblems fitted. I never put them on because I think it looks cleaner with out, but I am including both emblems and the rivets JRE supplied with the kit. I added a photo of the system on the bike. $150 shipped

Question on how mufflers are aligned. Are they parallel to each other on each side? Or are they splayed outwards slightly like stock system?

Hey, First I want to see if the pipes are still for sale? If so I have a question, I read some of your other post about the Muzzy pipe being loud. How does this one compare to the muzzy? I kinda like the stealth of the stock pipes but would like just a little bit more sound, but not something obnoxiously loud. I'm not racing or anything. To be honest I take the 250 with us when we go camping and don't want it to be so loud that it wakes everyone in the campground up when I start it up.

If your truly interested in fellow campers, leave the stock exhaust on.

Now this interesting, these do seem to have a power band that is way too smooth and linear for such a high strung motor. I don't know about a 400$ exhaust on a 1500$ bike though, just need a bit more flow than stock so I can retain my carb setup without having to listen to the debaffled stock system.

I'll give them a try, I might need a bit of coaching on payment options, shipping etc. Have never purchased anything off a forum before...

I gathered. I'm just ordered stock mufflers and will just back off main jets a step or 2, debaffled runs great is just too loud

If you manage to find a set of F1's, you will be very happy. Don't mistake them for the F1R, they are NOT what you want. |

Thanx for the tip. Just looked up an article on the Cobras and I guess they save 6lbs of weight. The debaffled sticker were actually not even worth 1 jet size and sounded miserable lol.
I'm surprised the muzzys ran so rotten, were they slip-ons? I'm really curious about a 2-1 system but due to unavailability it will require flash burns and terrible looking welds... |

No kidding? This might have something to do with the flat plane crankshaft. I can't remember specifics but some motors benefit form a header collector less than others- V vs inline, even vs odd fire ect.

Indeed, and I am no engineer/physicist, so my knowledge of these things is at best at a hobbyist level lol. I do find it very interesting, but there is a stark limitation for me-old dog, new tricks and all that.
