Carb questions 2006 EX250F
OK, carbs apart again -- my new-to-me '06 -- "just needs the carbs cleaned" as they say.
First a specific question before I get into all the history and details. When I got the bike, one of the hoses was missing that goes between the coasting enrichener and the right carb. Here's a pic from https://faq.ninja250.org/wiki/Ninja250_Howto My question -- it looks like the hose from the lower spigot on the right carb connects to the top forward spigot of the coasting enrichener, and it looks like the upper spigot on the right carb connects to the top rear spigot on the coasting enrichener. Is that correct? EDIT -- With a closer look, now I see that these "spigots" are two different diameters, so I figger I'll just match 'em up. Thanks for any help. ------------- Yes, I've worked on carbs before just not this type. I've been referring to the Ninja 250 how-to page linked above, and to this "secret passages" link http://n4mwd.blogspot.com/2013/10/se...-passages.html and reading many posts and threads ... .

Great pics, thanks, especially the middle pic clearly showing the hoses to the enricher.
On my bench:

Thanks, Gordon. I just finished getting the carbs on and the bike back together, re-synched, gassed up, will test ride in the morning. Along the way, I replaced the air filter element (old one was decaying) and went for a new petcock (the filter mesh was pulled away from the feed pipes). Oh, yeah, set the valve clearances (they were all on the tight side), new spark plugs, etc. Other upgrades and updates, but I'll wait til I get it running right before telling the whole tale.

Doing valve clearances was a good call....so many owners blow off checking valve clearances, thus unable to access increasingly tight valves...yet endure the rough starts associated....meanwhile chasing the usual ghosts. I'm confident in your abilities to get it right!

Thanks. Yep, I like to do my own "base line" servicing on a new-to-me bike, valves included, so I know my starting point.

Well you are more confident than I am
Twice through the carbs and still not right. So I will pull them off again and send you a PM about sending you the carbs for rebuild. That way I'll know they are right, and if I still have a running problem, I'll know to look elsewhere.

Got the carbs back from Gordon -- thanks for the quick turnaround -- got them installed (I'm getting good at this now) -- test ride 30 miles today -- runs great! [grin]
