Goes to show how good it is to have a camera on ya while riding. As for the old man driving, well he probably should have invested in a smaller vehicle since its clearly evident that the dimensions of the one he is driving now escapes his mind from time to time.

As for the last one, it was seriously an inconsiderate, selfish way to behave on the road. Plenty of good people around too which is nice. So what happened after that?

i pulled some pictures from the video to see the reg. It wasn't fully visible but together with the make and colour of a car the insurance company found a match quickly... This video saved me a lot of money as in the begining the insurance company was very reluctant... once they saw a video they were like "sir, when would you like your temporary replacement bike to be delivered? would you like a helmet too?". I got a quick payout and could buy a Ninja 2 weeks later

man that last one sucks! are these your only 3 crashes? if so i wonder if you noticed that all 3 are when the roads are wet, i never ride if its wet unless im out when it starts.

Hey thanks for the videos this is just some stuff I noticed.
Snow riding is fun if you do a lot of it you can find chains for the motorcycle. The last one even tho it sucks and she did cut you off I think you may have panic and locked your brakes. id suggest you may want to go to a parking lot and try practicing emergency braking in the wet once more.

Yeah - some of you say I panicked there - This is a wide lens view - everything is MUCH closer than it looks in the video... If I did not go down I'd def crash into her. Yes I did lock it but I really doubt If there was anything I could do - maybe apart from swerving to the right... So to summarize: It was wet, it was on a bend and I had to brake hard... (I was sure I will hit her) If you guys can get out of this situation than you are MUCH better riders than I am.

LittleRedNinjette - Yes it is my only vehicle And I would not go out too if I knew it will be snowing. When I left in the morning it was quite good. I ride all year round unless it is ice or snow on the road.

The trick is not getting into the situation in the first place. By being paranoid, anticipating a dumb action on the drivers part and leaving yourself a way out.

Gotta love surprise storms like that! I'll ride as long as its not a downpour or snow (that i know of coming anyway) and until it starts dipping below 45-50 degrees. But i do have the option of a car.

I did get stuck in a downpour once, man that sucked. I was so drenched... i could pour water out of my boots when i got home.

Anyway you do have some great videos! I'll be checking more of them out latter.

Thank you sir Because I only have a bike sometimes I push my luck just a bit too far and ride out when I am not certain about later on - and the weather prognosis is sometimes just wrong ... I do have quite a lot of interesting vids as riding in London is an adventure everyday

Those three things don't mix together.

We always have the capability of adjusting our speed to the conditions (these include a sudden move from a rider as much as wet pavement) and foreseeing bad situations and planning at least one way to escape them.

It takes several seconds for an accident to develop.
The damaging action happens in the last one or two seconds (frequently too late for us to do a non-planned evasive maneuver).

Same applies to the second video: if you normally stop in an angle, will have more room to move before crossing perpendicular traffic (an even joining it) in an event like this or in the case of a car rear-ending you.
We have to develop the ability to see into the first seconds of that development time.

Yeah, but I would never imagine that with an empty road when she is traveling in the correct lane to go left she will slam her brakes, swerve in front of the road island and go into the bus lane she should not have entered anyway (cars not allowed in bus lanes)...

I wish we had bi-annual driver reviews (maybe not bi-annual but every x amount of time). They're required for us pilots; it's basically a 2-part proficiency test: an oral and practical portion.

I suggested this in a thread I started a couple weeks back and got absolutely destroyed for it lol. People get so sensitive about their motor skills when they get older. It's a fact that riding/driving is a diminishing skill. But there are way too many drivers out there to make it bi-annual (or even annual) thing. Every decade, every 5 years, something like that. That totes needs to happen

Ok, I have to be honest here. Not saying you cant ride, but that third video, Yes they cut you off, but that dump was totally on you. You panicked via a fight or flight response & totally locked down on the front brake, there was plenty of time and space between you and the car when you went down to have locked the rear a lil and kicked it to one side or the other of that car. Looks like there was plenty or room slightly to the right where you could have stayed between lanes without worrying about another car getting u from behind or the side. I've had a lot of extremely close calls but none of my bikes have ever seen the ground because of another vehicle and I've been riding for almost 20 years. When my bike sees ground its me stunting &/or being stupid. This actually makes me think of just a few nights ago. Gonna have to start a close call thread in here.

Update.
I have to recant having never dropped a bike due to another vehicle. My buddy brought this to my attention, had completely forgotten it. Buddy had just bought a bike, I fixed it and was test driving it. I was going down the road and all of a sudden had 2 cops behind me, one beside me all 3 in a rush to get some one, & not me thankfully, but the cop beside me jerks over on top of me, runs me off to the side of the road, & my luck, lots of lose sand there, I slide, tire hits curb, already have inertia headed in the direction of the curb when my tires drag it, so tires stop, top of bike and me keep going, Trashed the juggs as they drag the curb, I look up thinking ok, its cops one will stop and see if im ok write a report ect.. Nope, they clearly saw me go down but just kept right on going. Never looked back.

I'm really impress with the cop/EMT guys in the last video, they made sure you weren't hurt badly and gave good advice on your health and on what you should do going forward. Good on the insurance company for the way you were treated, I doubt it would have gone as smoothly here in the U.S.

I take it that the camera is mounted on top/side of your helmet from the angles in the video. Is it bothersome at speed? Does it send the videos somewhere else via wireless as you ride, or are they recorded in the camera unit/SD card?

The cops were absolutely brilliant, they stayed for longer than this vid shows (had to cut somewhere) and were really helpful.

The camera is mounted on the right side of my helmet. It will not cause trouble at normal motorway speeds and I never heard anyone complaining about theirs because of it (not sure how fast you go ) video goes to the micro-SD card that you insert into the the unit.
