it's not so much fun as it is thrilling, I've only been lucky enough to get up to that speed once on a borrowed superbike but I'd imagine that after doing it a few times you'll either end up dead or bored with it since you're going in essentially a straight line. taking corners at speed is way more fun but that's just me.

Looked like kilometers to me. The lines aren't going by fast enough, neither is the passing,

Was that on Walnut Street.

Must be a 300. I don't think the 250 can go that fast.

At first I agreed with cc about the lines and passing but...if part of that was on 95,,,,the busses and trucks travel very very fast late at night....75-80 .

Come on that's gotta be KPH. He gets passed by another bike and never catches up. No way that other bike is going 200+ MPH.

I would agree with you if he was going 186 the entire time, he regularly slows down to 120-130s which is when he gets passed and closer to the end of the video when he gets to his longest stretch of 186mph before slowing back down he passes the bikes that passed him before catching up to another bike. there were no bikes that passed him when he was doing 186. while this doesn't rule out video editing the gear selector combined with rpms suggests that he is indeed topping the bike out even on a Ninja 300 you could reasonably hit the low 180s in kph.

I'm confused. If a 300 can reasonably hit the low 180s in kph, there's no way in hell it can reach 180 in mph

Yea I'll pass, I get up to 100 at the track, in the day time, with gear, & an ambulance waiting. Ha ha
kudos to the guy I am certainly not knocking him.

hahahahahahahahahaha I'm not even sure if I should take you seriously here and explain it further, just keep laughing at your joke, or feel bad that I couldn't explain my point well enough.

I'll try to simplify it.
point 1: the bike in question is topped out and is at least a gsxr 600 though presumed gsxr 1000.
2: he is only ever passed when he is going an indicated 120-130mph and does the passing himself when he is running 170s-186mph
3:I-95 traffic regularly exceeds 80-90mph at that time of night (at least in MD)
4:a ninja 300 can reasonably hit low 180s in kph
5:if the bike in question were to be topped out in kph it would read far higher than 186kph and the proof is in the power difference between the gsxr and the N300
6:the gear indicator/tach help suggest that the bike in question is indeed topped out.

my main point is point 5 with the rest there to help flesh it out and explain the reasoning behind it. besides the fact that 187mph = 300kph and is the factory top speed for the superbike 1000cc class of japanese motorcycles.

if I was just trolled by sarcasm or something of the like over the internet, oh well

i found the video useful, I often forget what it is like to go that slow, it's so boring.

For those of us that have experienced near 200mph speeds, the video is clearly legit. The big clues are in closing speeds to slower vehicles and other stationary road signage. I would say it's a 600 too, with an optimistic speedo. A liter bike will pull harder in 6th at < 150mph, you can hear it in the revs.

I call legit. 6th gear near redline doesnt get you only 186 Kph. Not a super big fan of gsxr's but i think its legit

Not with stunt gearing. No way that's anywhere near 186 mph.

Guessing Gixxer 750....600's top out at like 150's-160's and like you said it's not pullin like a 1000.

Indeed, totally forgot about 750's. My buddy has one but won't let me ride it lol. I don't blame him though, even though it's a '11, it has that fresh new bike smell still.
