I was kidding about the growler, don't do a slip on they are worthless, get a full system. You probably won't find a used area p, they are pretty few and far between because most people keep em. Area p will get you the most gains and it sounds sexy as hell. Tyga is a good choice too if you want to save a few bucks

Tore between the 18" Quiet Carbon Fiber Muffler, or the std with carbon can!!
Also, is it really req to get a new gasket kit! I was thinking since the bike is so new that I can just reuse the stockers!

Buy the gasket kit from Area P. The gaskets are much improved over stock design.

Get the quiet core. Your ears will thank you. It's a better tone anyways imho.

At the very least, contact Kerry and ask if you can do an 18" can with the standard diameter core. It will not be as quiet as the QC model, but it will not be as loud as the standard length either.

Thanks!! I am going with the QC! After watching a crap load of Youtube videos, it fits me better I think!! The std setup just seems too loud

Ended up ordering a TYGA full exhaust, carbon round can!! It ended up being around $100 cheaper even with expensive shipping from Hong Kong!! I like the way it sounds even though it's going to be a little louder then the Area P QC.

A little more than a little louder :P QC is barely louder than stock. I couldn't believe it until I heard it for myself also.

But don't let me rain on your parade, congrats on a new exhaust!! Your bike will love you!! Check out some info on jetting. I suggest keeping the airbox, pulling the snorkel, going up a size (or however much is needed) on the main jets, and then raising your needles as much as required with washers. Much cheaper than jet kits.

Pulling the snorkel will give your exhaust a fuller tone and make the bike rev a little more freely without making excessive noise like a pod filter does.

You bet!! I am planning on removing the snorkle, and adding 2-3 washers to the needle to start. I know the 250 runs rich on top, so is that the opt setup to raise the main jet one size? With regards to it being a lot louder then the QC, I guess thats what ear plugs are for What's the saying? Loud pipes save lifes!!

It's different for every bike. On my pregen, I opened the airbox and went with a full Muzzy, and it really like one size larger on the mains. Yours might like the stock sizes, or one larger, or even 2 larger, idk. Just make sure to change one variable at a time and write down your results, or else you'll give yourself a headache.

i think sh!tfest threads are more interesting and useful.

it forces posters reevaluate their thoughts/ back their opinions, and readers to analyze/understand them. in doing so the building blocks of sound logic are cemented into everyone involved.

i guess what i'm saying is sh!tfests are helpful sometimes.

I don't think it would be helpful. It's been argued so many other times on ninjette. Just search.

i feel the myth does more harm then anything, and needs to be countered every time its mentioned...

its dangerous to rely on any sound (exhaust or horn) as crash avoidance.

Sound ≠ Visibility

Hey Matt! Your just about an hour away from me. We should ride the east side sometime, I need some new routes, or you can come to "da back woods" near my crib.
