Ninja 250, 1st (2nd?) Impression

So I got another 250, 3rd one so far lol, and after having only ridden the 650 for a while I figured I'd give a review of the 250. First thing I noticed was how EASY the 250 is to ride. Throttle, brakes, shifting, everything just requires less concentration than the 650 and it just makes it so easy to ride. IMO this is what makes the bike perfect to learn on and perfect for the twisties and track.

Because you don't have to concentrate as hard on controlling the bike you can concentrate more on lean angle, riding position, all that good stuff, ya know, the stuff that actually makes you a better rider.

Next thing I noticed was just how ****** those stock tires are. I can't even believe how crappy they feel. I have no idea how I survived 11k miles on my first bike. I completely understand what other people meant when they said these tires feel like wood, they really do, they are terrible. Even so on my first bike I managed to scrape the pegs so I'm sure they are fine for most people. I'll be switching them out for some confidence inspiring rubber as soon as possible. I'd give away the stock tires but I think they are more deserving of a good ole tire burning.

And my favorite thing about the 250, full throttle redlline shifting on the street. Entirely impossible on a larger bike even the 650. I honestly feel like the 650 has too much power for the street (the 1000 is gna be nuts!) Maybe I can't beat that corvette but he's not having as much fun as I am.

Someone slap me if I ever consider not owning a 250 again

But that corvette has 20 times more horsepower and 10% more sex appeal!

I could beat him in a u-turn though

i also am on my 3rd 250, all pregen...yeah, you just think about it and the 250 will do it...you want to turn? you are there already, so nimble and flickable...throw it around like a bicycle, well almost...these bikes are so much fun that after 66,000 miles, i still take the 250 before the 600...

i will always have a 250...

I just did the "ignore Jiggles thing"...

I just did the "ignore Jiggles thing", (http://www.ninjette.org/forums/profi...=ignore&u=6341) and it really makes this thread weirder than it was before.

Ninjette.org just got a lot better; Thanks Sean for making that so convenient. Why did I wait so long?

Oh I agree totally. Just saying that with all the advantage's he's named for the 250, the only factor that remains is power. His signature has the rest.
