i kinda feel creepy now... your facebook led to your flickr which led to google which led to me spending like 30 minutes reading about you and now i just feel like a stalker.

nice photos though. what exactly is a specialist of light and physics? i understand the lighting part but physics? is that like making sure falling stuff.... falls correctly?

Ha, nice. All I learned from you (as directed from you liking my page) is that... you're a female apparently

And my guess is that the "specialist of light and physics" thing was somehow connected to my undergrad? Which was weird and liberal and crap, where all students had self-designed "concentrations." I studied light in general, which included physics. Basically a minor in physics. Because physics is f***ing awesome. And physics includes optics, but to get to optics you generally have to get through mechanics and E&M.

I use Pentax. I currently have a K10D, but I'm also waiting for a K5-ii that I JUST bought to arrive. I have a bunch of lens, either pentax or sigma. My favourite is probably my 50mm 1.4, but it really depends what I'm shooting.

Aaaannndd I really LOVE working with natural light, so I actually prefer to NOT use a strobe (though if I use it, it's off-camera). Circular polarizers can be fun. And I recently got an intervalometer to play around with time laps and stuff, lately.

Rope dart:

I'm sure I have others too. Rope dart is actually one of the harder firespinning things to shoot, at least with the style w/ which I work. It's really hard to make it look like anything without daylight.

Actually, come to think of it, I do have some other shots in a set I shot in August that I keep not having time to edit. Maybe I'll get my **** together and start working on that this weekend...

Behold the magic of Saran wrap! The only editing I did to these was slight level adjustments and colour balance. These were taken during a film test I was doing in prep for a film shoot on Sunday.
