Removing the float bowl

I need to replace the o ring on the float bowl, would it be possible to remove the float bowl without pulling the carbs?

If you have the right tool to fit under there and grip the fasteners correctly, I think so. It would be a really stubby JIS screwdriver, or an allen key if you're fortunate and the screws got replaced.

Ultimately, yanking everything to pull the carbs is never as time-consuming or annoying as it feels like it's going to be. It might be easier, in the long run, to just go for disassembling.

Got the bike running!!!

Adjusted the valves and now runs pretty even with the air box missing….

Freshly cleaned and sealed tank going on tomorrow.

Now I just have to work out the creaking noise from the rear end…

Amazing how many EX's are denied their right to timely valve checks. Many owners simply blow off this critical function as a "meh" ...... eventually resulting in many bikes sitting dormant out back behind the garage. IF your bike has screw & locknut type valves (easy)....just DO IT. Even wiith shim type (more difficult).....just DO IT.

PS.....don't even consider blowing off this MUST DO on a Ducati! A "meh" is not even on the charts.
