"Support" My little video project

Hey guys and gals. How ya'll been? Just wondering if you guys watch any vloggers out there on yt. Some of them actually inspire me to make videos.

This is a little short film I have been working on and now I'm done! I have a gopro and a pair of pivotheads. I get lots and lots of footage. But the thing about editing is VISION! Being able to visualize what you want to portray and piecing it together in your mind the first step to creating something great. That's what essentially makes an artist, an "artist." Everyone is an artist in some sort of way.

So here is the trailer I created:

Link to original page on YouTube.

And here is the final product! The video is unlisted. I still waiting for a response from a feature spot that I requested.

Link to original page on YouTube.

Now I know what your thinking, "the video or so called 'short film' is too short!" The reason for that is because I don't like to just mash clips together and throw music in the background. I like the actual footage to flow nicely with the music. So the video is only as long as the actual song. Don't get it twisted, this took me forever to edit, lol.

So does anyone here record and ride?

Fascinating, yet I feel lost at the same time. Does the video make a point, purpose or is it more abstract than my meager comprehension abilities.

Your shoes are ugly. Your taste in music sucks you don't look cool you just look like a stupid kid with poor to little gear on. But your bike is kind of nice looking.

I agree with all of this....but I'm gonna pile it on even more.

You're trailer is corny and the script sounds like every speech at every high school graduation ever. Saaaaad burnout, my blunts blow more smoke than that. Yes, I have seen motorcycle vloggers on YT. And yes, every video is exactly the same. Don't try to be so cool.

Well porps for the effort. It would help to explore a few more vlogs so that you get a clear picture as to what people would like to see.

Like this guy... lol

Some of the comments in here seem unnecessarily harsh. Anyway...

@OP I liked your edits and the way you framed some of your shots. I also liked the humor in your trailer.

Some constructive criticism:

- The trailer seemed a little long. Cutting some extra time out would make the end clip funnier. Also having a trailer that is 25% of the length of the "feature" seems excessive.

- You have some good ideas for framing some of your shots but there to doesn't seem to be a strong narrative. What are you trying to say with your shots? What are you trying to tell? Stringing together a series of interesting shots is ok. Stringing together a series of interesting shots that move your narrative along is better.

- Small point but don't film the cameras. In the trailer the camera is on your head. It'd be better if the camera was not visible unless showing the camera helped move the narrative along.

Good luck with your filming!

Your video is quite odd, I don't understand it. I watched through the whole thing waiting for the point or something to happen but nothing happens. There's an inspirational opener but nothing inspirational about the video.

Your artsy film shots (flowers n sun n ****) you move the camera too much and the clips are too long, it's not engaging. Leave the camera stationary and do time lapse instead.

Don't film your camera unless there's no other option or unless the camera is supposed to be filmed. You sit on the bench all sad but you have a camera on your head, it doesn't make sense.

The Moto video you included was boring. That's ok, the music can bring it to life but it still needs a lot of work.

I'm planning two videos that will probably have a lot of shots that aren't very interesting but the music will bring them together and make it interesting.

I spend a ridiculous amount of time editing the videos that I really like. Like 6-8 hrs of just editing, and after all that I'm still not happy with it. There's things I want to improve and make better or change but I realize these changes usually won't impact the viewer. If you are happy with your video after you are done editing then it's probably not very good.

Take a look at my videos, what's the difference between mine and yours?

The Jiggles 'crash' video is one of the best that I've ever seen. I love it. I still watch it about once a month!

I assume that the sheH4TEme2 video is a joke ... right?

Here you go, give this a watch. All riders from my local group in Cincy OH. lol

Link to original page on YouTube.

I got creative with it a bit too. I honestly hope Jiggles steals some of my ideas for his next render of the ninjette crashes. And best wishes to anyone that crashes.

@choneofakind - look how many crashes are at Mid-O, lol when are we going again?
@Aodrn - Some Putnam crashes in there for you
