Chone, you are no longer velocity challenged. Welcome to the I group and next time can we ride together all day!

We need to work on your keyhole entry and keyhole carry speed. Overall your lines look great though. Well done!

Until next time, your homework is to work on your quick flick with a late entry. This is the special sauce for getting drive out of the keyhole. You don't have to be going fast to work on this. Its all about getting the steering done quickly. Play with cones in a parking lot. Set up a right turn similar to the MSF and take it later and later. The later you take it, the faster you must complete the steering to set your line.

Once again, you have done amazing things in just 3 track days.

EDIT: I also wanted to say, that it's awesome that unlike a lot of I riders, you only use what track you need. No more.... no less.

Yeah I was thinking about the Keyhole, and it got easier as I started carrying more speed into it. I think this (again) is all still in how I take the chicane. I think I need to cut out the teddy-bear braking into turn 3, then just turn in and keep a tighter line into 4/5. For the quick flicking, I know I gotta work on that. I'm just so used to riding a more relaxed pace on the street.

I really want to go back the beginning of August, right before I leave for school. I think I can swing it. Gotta wait till closer to know.

Brett, if only I could, I would without a second thought. BTW, you're coming with us if I go again this season. Start working on your fiance now. I'll borrow a trailer again and carry both our bikes there.

Yep, just roll off a bit to make it easier to steer into 3, from there it's a rider bravery thing. You will get it soon enough I am sure. If you can get 3, it will roll into the keyhole. Just a quick downshift, turn and your done.

And it is tough for the first 10 or so track days to leave the "street rider" at home.

Give me know a couple of weeks notice and we will do it again. I just need an excuse to buy that 4th track day to get the free one at the end of the year. Go ahead.... tempt me. lol

Brett common man, make it happen.

Wait. If I get another weekend in August/July, does that make 4 days? Or is that considered only 2 because it was 2 weekends? I could go for a free day...

1 day = 1 day even if you buy them 2 at a time, ie a 2 day PTR. 4 = free day.

Hold up chone, I didn't explain that very well. You need 4 days total to get the free one. You and I did a 2 day PTR. So your 2 of 4. I am at 3 of 4 with at least one more on my schedule for late in the season.

Side question: Why do you shake your head in your video after hitting the bump at the exit of the carousel?

I was not happy with that turn. I turned in too late, caught caught not looking at the right place, and had to really fight the SR, and I ended up not keeping it as tidy on the bumper as I wanted. Was not happy about that at the time. From the video, it doesn't look so bad. I guess I should just enter faster and keep that line normally. Again with the teddy bear braking! Gah!

Now you're just tempting me to buy another 2 days instead of one...

Looks way worse than it really was. I stayed on the gas until the front caught, then the back wobbled to catch up. That crease in the track is why I tried to keep it more tidy on turn 8 from there out. Right side of turn 8 exit = lowside land

I'm a lot wide on 7, and for some reason, my GoPro decided not to record the audio

@choneofakind - Pics are still not avail online but you can get a disc or them uploaded if you want/prepay. I don't think Kyle is very happy about how it all worked out. None the less, it's better news than "sorry, you missed out".

One days is $75, two days $110. Digital delivery via dropbox is included, add $5 for a CD/DVD mailed to you.

Email him directly klh2004a@aol.com

Good to know. Too bad there were only 2 pictures from day 2 that I wanted. Not worth paying for the entire disk for me. :/
