Just that I should ride it more. I've wussed out a bit this winter. Barely used the poor thing. I've promised it a track day or two this summer though

To the pub that the road is named after, but there are many pubs all over

a road named after a pub. If I didn't already know it was in britain I'd assume it took place in ireland after that comment.

When I first read the title of this thread I thought it was going to be a funny cat video...maybe with a cat on a toy motorcycle crashing into a fiddle or something lol.

Click the "Quote" button on Akima's original post and save the URL's for the smileys. BTW, this one is my favorite:

Love this video - that road was in my backyard growing up, so it's a little piece of home. And you're seeing evidence as to why it was classed as the most dangerous road in Britain for many years.

I love smileys! They add a lot of feeling to a post. Makes up for the lack of face-to-face communication.

I find all my smileys on deviant art. Just go here:
https://www.deviantart.com/customization/emoticons
In the lower of the two search boxes, type in a word that you want a smiley for like "embarrassed" or "scared" or "dancing" and you'll probably find a cute emoticon that expresses it well

Just right click on the smiley and copy the image location, then click the insert image button on this forum and past the image location.

The road doesn't look dangerous (it atually looks fun) but there are dangerous people on it. How many times does it say "slow" on that road?

It is a fun - I've never ridden it but driven it plenty of times. The problem is that it became something of a racetrack, so there are often tons of motorbikes, cyclists and high performance cars on that road. I have no idea what the stats are today but it consistently ranked either at the top, or near the top, of the 'injuries per mile' chart when I still lived in the area (hmm, wonder if there's a correlation).

It's great fun, but they have put up rear facing average speed cameras, so it's a case of push it hard, pull up & wait a minute pass the camera, push it hard, pull up & wait before the next camera...

Check out the links to 'similar threads' at the bottom of the page, Visor Down's article claims it's the most dangerous road in the country, most of the list of statistically most dangerous fun roads in the country are within half an hour of my house, and most of them roads are on the list because of bikers binning it & going over a cliff

It's idiots like him stuffing it in a bend that have rear facing average speed cameras put up on the good roads.
