WAY too much water on the road to be riding like that, and just look at the sheen of oil on top of the water when he's walking back towards his bike. If that were me, I'd have gotten in the track from the SUV in front and stayed there.

I wonder if it'd be better to wreck in the rain than in the dry. I mean, the rain probably acts as a lubricant against the asphalt, but that'd also increase the slide distance. Hmm...

That was tough to watch.
Riding in the rain is fine, just be extra smooth with every input and give yourself much more time and space for all maneuvers. I took three, two day track schools and it rained every time. Its amazing how well bikes can stick in the wet with proper technique, even with race take-off Pirellis
