A new version of SMIDSY. I love how they pause after running over the front wheel, then decide, what the hell, let's run over the rest of the bike. In for a penny, in for a pound I guess.

Well I guess they learned something I never did! What speed do you use to completely run over a bike in reverse? How not to stop once you impact something you have not seen. I guess you just floor it since its easier to get away if the bike is destroyed/rider dead.

That's a solid 3 seconds, actually, and that's honestly an asston of time on a motorcycle when things go wrong.

@LittleRedNinjette the original video just said driver with a learner's permit. I think it was just someones kid in a regular car w/out a passenger brake.

Yes, he did have 3 seconds. But in reality, if I were in that situation, the 1st second would be to observe. I'll think "what the heck is this dummy doing?". The 2nd second to be me perceiving "oh crap, he's backing up in my direction".

Those of us who live in large cities may have a better chance to react (turn the handlebars to the right and get out of the way),as we're used to the chaos.

But now that I'm living in the suburbs, I am more "at ease". I'm much softer. I think I would've reacted the same way the rider did.

But this vid is a good reminder for me (and I'm sure for many others) to stay more focus and have a "shoot first, ask questions later" mentality.
