Installed a new front tire and brake pads. (well, took the wheel off and put it back on, had someone else do the tire)

Finally matching sport demons front and back.

Flashed a slightly different fuel map to the ECU. Love it! best so far

I also re-adjusted the chain slack and checked my stem bearings for slop. None yet. Double checked all my fuel hose connections for tightness.

Tomorrow is cleaning day for all the 2-wheeled vehicles. If I get around to cleaning instead of riding...

Cleaned it! Did a 10/10 job. It's not perfect, but from 10 feet or 10 mph, it looks shiny.

Think I got enough dirt off of it?

Did a spark plug check for S&G's and everything looked alright.

Changed the needle height from 3.5 to 4 to experiment with the midrange.

Lubed the chain.

I also somehow managed to get 64.1 MPG with 1/4 of those miles in the twisties at high RPMs.

Well, took the first ride with the needles raised and it ran like **** as soon as I drove out of the parking lot while warming up the engine. Bike was bogging and "burping." On the highway I was at around 7-8k RPM and I went WOT and it stayed at that range for a couple of seconds until it went to 9k and it pulled through the remainder of the rev range.

However, it pulls okay, but still slightly worse after the engine is fullly warmed up. Previously, the bike would pull equally well both when the engine was cold and at operating temperature.

Yep, definitely reverting back to position #3.5 tomorrow morning after doing a plug check.

Last Friday I swapped both my tires back to my used street set and bagged my freshly used racing tires for later use. Remounted my 15-41 gearing setup to preserve my sanity on the hwy.

Saturday rode 200+ miles starting at 5am to avoid the heat and even got to enter the San Jose to Livermore TT. I gridded up alongside Newbee and @CycleCam303 for the start. We gave Cam a 1 minute head start that evaporated within the first few miles and he quickly faded from sight. The new front suspension was working great at the increased speed and harder braking. In the end after getting stuck behind twinge as many cars as normal we still shaved of 5 mins from the total time from San Jose to Livermore.

Only had to wait 10 or mins for Cam to come rolling up exhausted

Adjusted the needles back to 3.5, rides a lot smoother compared to yesterday.

Plugs looked a little bit darker, also.

Waiting for parts to arrive, ordered new pistons and rings as the first set I bought were standard size, turns out that the engine has been bored to .5mm oversize. Also have circlips coming for the trans, also big end and main bearings on their way and waiting for cylinder to be honed to take the new rings.
Waiting, waiting.

Got my oil analysis from Blackstone, everything looks spot-on and the TBN indicates that I can safely extend my oil change intervals to 4.5k+ miles on T6.

Anyhow
I washed and threw a little spray wax on my other boy today. Treated the plastic bits with some armor-all type stuff.
Now the orange peel from my not-yet-buffed paintjob is super shiny!

One day I'll rebuild the booth, clear the everloving **** out of it all again and then feel safe to buff and polish.

Is that the hj-09 shield? The black one or mirrored one? If its just the black one I can tell you people will still see your face. That's the one I have and wish I got the mirrored one. The only time it's blacked out is if the sun is behind you.

Serviced the swing arm (got rid of that squeaking noise when I mount it ) painted the swing arm black, lubed chain

Good!! That makes a huge difference in the rear suspension feel and smoothness on the road. Glad you got to do that. Did everything go for you as planned? That's one service that tons of people forget/don't know about doing.

I believe its the HJ-20. But yea its dark smoked so when light is shined on it you can still see my face if your a reasonable close distance away. Other than that...bamm im a fricken ninja (no pun intended).

Ill prob get the mirrored one soon too because the reviews for the tinted one says it wears wicked fast.

In the past week or two, i've installed a tyga full exhaust, EFI kit, 15/43 combo, X-ring chain, kleen air removal/emissions block off plate, and Koso RX2 gauges. Also changed the oil/filter/cleaned the screen and did a antifreeze flush. Waiting for red SS brake lines to come in and trying to get my hands on a used headlight so i can retrofit it.

And i love my golden mirrored shield lol sick nasty.

Yes! Was really pretty straight forward and simple. Thanks for bringing that to light for me. And here I thought this whole time there must be an issue with the rear shock making a squeaking noise lol. To my relief that long bolt that holds the swingarm to the Frame was still nice and smooth and shiny after 34kmiles (even though it was basically dry of oil or grease)

fender delete, center stand delete, removed fairings (permanently), removed both exhausts

am figuring out how to remove the engine to rebuild it while planning out a build
thinking woodcraft clipons, koso rx2 dash, shorty levers, handlebar grips, corbin seat, a xenon headlight, full exhaust (especially if two into one possible, I'd like to be able to use the helmet lock), and a new paint scheme orange/black

just one question, is it possible to increase the tire sizes for access to the stickier tires that newgen 250s have? if so how would it be done, just being lazy and putting the tires on or would I need to put new wheels/swingarm on?

I read reviews that the tint like practically wipes away on them. Well thats what I read about the blue tinted one. And maybe a black tinted one as well. Cant remember. Oh well... i just hope it doesnt happen to mine anytime soon But if it does.... hello mirror finish

On topic...

Stranded on the side of the ride. Pushed bike 2 miles up hills to my home. Posted issue on the forums and they diagnosed that I had water in my bowl. Drained that. Then after much frustration of trying to crank it over (like 2 hours!), I forgot I still had the fuel switched to OFF. Hooked up the battery to an external source and turned the crack for a minute and vwalla! Im back in business! Just in time for the beautiful weather this weekend/week
