Hi from Vancouver

Hello everyone

Another newbie to the forums, and to motorcycling

I took a motorcycle course this past August and got my shiny new license in October. I've had my black 2009 250 since September.

I love my ninjette and miss it; it's in storage right now. The weather here has been very spring-like and I'm itching to get it back on the road, but I'm going to wait a little longer. I don't like the idea of being so inexperienced and riding on wet roads. Besides, the Olympics are about the start and traffic is getting heavier and heavier for my commute.

Looking forward to reading & learning more about my bike!

Welcome aboard Toast! Probably a wise decision holding off on heavy traffic and bad weather riding right after getting the bike out of storage.

Welcome mate, sucks how you guys have to put your bike in storage every winter. The worst we get here is a bit of rain and a little chilly wind, no snow!

Howdy from the Island. Let me know when you take your bike outta storage. I'm on mainland pretty often and we can go riding. Either that or bring your bike out here to the Island. Weather here tends to be a bit nicer, I've been riding all winter. I'm going to be over there for a hockey game next weekend... and I am so not looking forward to the traffic. And as far as team black goes...I'm a dedicated member of the team since I paid $400 extra to get the last black one I could find in my area!

jcgirl, the traffic in Vancouver itself is pretty nuts. Are you coming to watch an Olympic match?

Yep Vancouver can be a little nutty. Was there a couple of weeks ago for the bike show in Abbotsford. The highways can be a little intimidating with the HOV lanes. Cover over here to the island, you'll find it a lot more forgiving and I can take you some great rides that will help you ease back into riding after being off for the winter. Let me know whenever you wanna come over. There are some girls out here that would definately come out riding

Yep, I'm over there for a Hockey game on the 20th at the GM place. Check out this thread. Ninji is coming with me.

Because tickets are super expensive! Although next Wednesday we're going downtown to hang out and see if we can pick up some tickets to an event. I've heard that if you wait until it starts the scalpers drop their prices significantly

A lot of the tickets on Cypress have been canceled because of the lack of snow; the spectators were sinking into the hay and mud lining the course.

And a big thanks to everyone else who has welcomed me. I'm enjoying looking around.
