Visit with Alan Smith

My friend and fellow motorcycle hypermiler Alan Smith called me yesterday so I went to see him and check out some work he was doing to his streamliner in preparation for the next Vetter Challenge in Ohio. He had just gotten back from riding to the East Coast and then riding with a group of 250cc riders on a ride back ( Sea to Sea Tiddler Rdie? ) here to the West Coast. It was a great story that I will have to get more details on so that I can better share it.

I'm sworn to secrecy about the changes he was making but it was cool seeing his streamliner stripped down and his new chopped and lowered Ninja project bike. We both had been stuck with mid 140mpg max's and I think this should easily push him past the 150 mpg barrier. The 2014 Mid-Ohio Vetter will be interesting
