Newbie UK

Hello Ninjette!

Bought one today, thought it would be worth introducing myself.

Have a few questions, but they can wait. I always find it more polite to introduce one's self before racking someone else's brains!

Anyway, I'm Chris, I'm from London, UK, so HI!

Hope to get chatting to some of you.

Chris

Ha I see you're from Brighton... I'm down that way sometimes for rides etc...

I actually live in Esher, Surrey, so it's just a hop down that way, I'll let ya know next time I'm out there.

Also, does anyone have any experience with the Fuel Injected bike? I know the USA model is still on carbs, but my bloody FI light goes on and off sporadically about 10 miles into the ride. It rides fine etc, just the light is fooking annoying.

Cheers for all the nice welcomes too

Chris

Hi and welcome,
“FI light goes on and off sporadically about 10 miles into the ride”
The FI light should not come on once the motor is running unless there is a problem.

Correct. In this case the manual refers you to contact the stealership asap...

From riding a bit more I've worked out that the temperature gauge is shot. I.e. It doesn't go up, even after riding around a while. What this could be caused by is beyond me.

Also, it might be affecting the fan. The FI light only comes on when I hear the fan come on, like at the traffic lights or something, and stops when I give it some gas and it (the fan) obviously isn't needed.

Im in Dublin, Ireland, at the moment and am taking it into the dealers on Monday when I get home. Bummer really, just bought the fookin thing.
