Hello from Oregon

Hi all I don't have a ninja 250 yet but I am looking at one for my wife that has a little fairing damage and figured I better see what kind of info yall got on the board.

I picked up a little katana 600 for my wife last year and the motor is a little much for her to handle so I am going to trade it for a ninja 250. I have a guy that has an 06 blue that has been down on the right side and broke the fairing but I can plastic weld it for now until she gets the hang of things.
A little about me, I have own kawi my whole life I am 34 and been riding from the ripe old age of 8 first bike was a honda ct70 and I still own it. It was all kawi after I got off the little 70 until about 3 years ago when I crossed over to the dark side and picked up a hayabusa. I love that bike but the wife needs to start with old faithful kawi IMO. I mean come on liquid cooled parallel twin does it get any better then that for a strater bike, I think not.

Welcome Corey and wife - glad to have you with us. Be sure you let her get her own account so she can chat with us and meet all the great ladies we have. Have fun and ride safe. I'm assuming you've run the better half through the local MSF and has all the gear?

Well to answer a couple of your questions, I don't let her do anything, she does what she wants. I doubt she will join because she is not really into motorcycle boards but that may change over time, ya never know. She has not gone through the msf because I feel more comfortable teaching her the basics, but once she gets going then yes she will take it. As far as gear goes she has always ridden on my bikes and nobody and I mean nobody gets on my bike without gear I don't care if you are a passenger. So yes she has gear. I do have a couple of pics of her I was thinking about putting on the girls on bikes thread I just haven't done it yet.

She needs a little work and a few new parts but nothing that will stop it from being ridden.
