Red-lining safely

I've seen a lot of videos on youtube where the stunters will go WOT with clutch in to make their engine scream and I'm just curious how they do this safely? I would think that your engine would be very unhappy while doing this. Is there a way to do this safely so I can warn cars in blind spots or just for kicks. I'm pretty sure my bike isn't capable but on any sportbike in general?

That's what the rev limiter is for.

I may be a noob, but removing the power to your rear wheel intentionally in a high risk danger situation does not seem like the brightest idea in the world....

This, and even the possibility of forgetting to pull the clutch in or dumping the clutch is bad, too.

I have a better fix. Put a loud horn on the bike and move on.

even better fix: forget about trying to be heard, dont even try to think about being visible. say **** you to everyone and ride like you are invisible.

Don't rev-up your bike as a substitute for your horn. In the end your engine is just background noise to cagers where a horn is something that will catch their attention.

Oh I have a really cool mod that would help you out. I yanked out that useless ass horn and instead wired up a couple servos. When I hit the horn it pulls in the clutch and runs the bike at WOT for 1.5 seconds. This allows all the cagers around and in front of me to know that I am there. Then after the 1.5 seconds is up the clutch is released and I do a sickass wheelie to safety.

I'll put up a DIY shortly

I thought that was the official squid greeting. Two squids pull up at a light. No wave no nod just pin the throttle. Ning Ning Ning Ning Ning . When you are going to toss the bike down the road in a week or two anyhow. What is a little piston scuffing going to matter?

here's an idea... have a fuel injector in your headers connected to a button... when you push the button, BOOOOOOM BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM.... the repeated backfire should be louder than just a standard rev brapbrapbrap
