Pregen racer setup tips/hints???
I picked up a pregen cheap, & I'm going to do the 17" upgrade on it & an 08+ shock. I don't intend to upgrade to late model forks, but I will do the internal upgrades to the stockers.
Any of you pregen racers have any hints, or tips on these old dogs? |

Hi, Dont worry about upgrading the forks, start by changing the fork springs (Sonic Springs) and don't worry about valving until you get serious about racing; unless you need a way to spend money.
Check a previous post from me regarding wheel swaps, and you will find info and a person from WERA who has modded old gen Ninjettes. In short, I would suggest to install 17" sticky tires and ride at the track as much as you can! |

I guess I should've explained a little more in depth! Lol
I don't have a lack of racing experience.....I have an 09 I've raced 3 times, & I've raced SM & other bikes from SV to RS125. So I'm looking for info on slightly more advanced set up. This will be my rain/spare/loaner bike. |

Forks are the same as the new gen internally.
I'm the guy from the WERA bbs that had swapped many wheels to the pregen. There is someone making an adapter to use the pregen's caliper, but I prefer not to use and adapter and just use the new gen's caliper. |

So will the emulators & springs from a late model fit in the pregen forks?
