Hi All! My name is Christi, and I just joined ninjette.org today. My friend Chris is a Ninja 250 owner and referred me to this page. I just purchased my Ninja 250 yesterday and will be picking it up in April. I can't wait to ride! I joined ninjette.org because I want to learn all I can about my bike and because it came highly recommended from my friend Chris!

I seem to get the impression that black bikes are looked down upon???

Its not really "looked down" upon... it's more like "looked at from behind" upon... cos the other colors can't keep up. Welcome!

Yes, I definitely see there is a whole lot to read before the riding season! I have taken the Motorcycle Rider Safety course. I actually took it last year and my first bike was a 1982 Honda CX500. I actually dumped it and learned a huge lesson of one of the things NOT to do! I can't wait to ride the Ninja!!!
