Greetings from Afghanistan

Afghanistan?! They have 250's there? What do you do about those IED's? Do RPG's affect riding style?

All great ?'s , but I don't have my 250 out here lol. I am in the Navy over here in Kandahar working at the hospital. In 2008 I searched high and low for a Ninja 250, but like a lot of us was found empty handed due to the demand of such awesomeness . So before coming out here I vowed I would own one before returning home... and NOW I do! I am a newbie to the bike world, but already see that the 250 family is a welcoming one. When I return I will be in the Portland, OR area so I hope to join some group rides and gain some experience.

Pleasure to meet you!

Chris

Alex, Mike, and Don thank you. As far as the situation, we shall see in an hour or two when I start shift. As you may know the NATO mission is going on in Marjad so we are expected to receive some of the causalities. However, most of them will be going to Camp Bastion in Hemland province... but we shall see.

Welcome Chris. I'm sure you wish you were seeing some of the international action around your home rather than in Afghanistan! Thank you for your service, and I wish you the best of luck.

Welcome Chris - glad to have you with us. Stay safe and we'll look forward to your return to CONUS soon. There are "few" of us ex-Navy on the board so you are among friends. Big difference between what you are doing and being on a boomer in the '60's thought. Thanks for all you and the other fine young men and women are doing.

Everyone ~ Thank you very much I am proud to serve as well as to own a Ninja lol... Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country... and the top two answers will be... serve in the Armed Forces... and ride a Ninja lol. As far as riding like the Afghans I will start off slowly and work my way up to 7 passengers... any volunteers?
