Anyone here have faster bikes, but still have their Ninjette?

The Ninjette is not my 1st bike. I just bought it because I wanted to see what all of the fuss is about. I have a TL1000R and a Ninja 650R and I'm finding myself struggling to justify 3 bikes, though I do enjoy them all for different reasons.
Anyone else have a similar situation?

Here is a pic of them..

I understand the point of a low powered small bike. I ride a klx140l on the dirt, and it's much, much less powerful, and I love it! I also ride A ZX6R. The brute force of this bike is amazing.

I felt I needed a bike with 7x the power in order to safely navigate the freeway

As you can see, 5x the power didn't cut it

I only have my ninjette, even though it's the new improved +50ccs version but I will say that I can't imagine getting rid of my baby bike even if I got a bigger one later.

Will always keep it after I get my new ones. No need to justify, people have more expensive watches and no one asks them to justify it.

I'm so in love with the TL1000R. There was one for sale in India recently, but I missed out on it. How is the bike? How does it feel like after riding the ninjette?

p.s. when I get a bigger bike, my ninjette is definitely staying...

For all the BS with my bike. It's the slowest bike I have ever owned. It's the best bike I have ever had and I love it. Now that it is a race only bike I dont ride it on the street. So maybe I will get a 300.

I have two bikes that are "faster" than my ninjette and I still kept the ninjette and use it just as much as one of the "faster" bikes.

I fall in this group as well, have "faster" bikes but that doesn't diminish how much I love to ride the Ninjette in the least.

My first bike was a Daytona 675--it had a good life where I would canyon carve all the way to racing. Its no longer with me because of a racing incident that left me injured for quite a while. My second and still own is my Bonneville. THat thing has been frankensteined and makes a lot of power for its size. The Ninjette is my dedicated race bike.

I own a 2002 1300cc Hayabusa, a 2007 PreGen Ninja 250, and NOW a 2013 Ninja 300. A buddy asked me my thoughts on the 300 after my first ride into the mountains and all I could answer was ""BUSA & PREGEN FOR SALE...ANYONE INTERESTED!?!?!""

I had a New Gen 250r and then bought a Duck 750 SS. Had both bikes for awhile. I just couldn't justify keeping both as I wasn't putting enough miles on two.

Ended up selling the 250. Love the 750SS, however. Not so over-powered as most of the other sport bikes. Definitely more powerful than the 250. Much more difficult to ride well. At least for me.

I would say that if I rode more than I do, where I could put a couple of thousand miles per year on each bike I would have kept both. If I start putting that kind of miles on the Duck I might consider a Ninja 300.

I let go of my 250 to get my zx6r. If I had a garage, or multiple parking spots for my apartment, I would have kept the 250. I just don't have enough space for two bikes and a car at this time, sadly

I have an FZ6R and the 250. The 250 is still a blast to ride, if I get rid of the 250 it's only to get a 300. The 250 is just so light and nimble, I think turn and it's done.

Like a lot of people here I'm hanging on to my 250 as well; granted right now it's mostly my fiance riding on it but I'm pretty sure even after she gets another bike later the 250 will still be here. Just too useful a bike to get rid of.

I like my 250, I have rode all sorts, and as soon as i've finished paying for my ninja, i'm getting rid of it for a bigger bike with better touring capabilities, wind protection & comforts.

It's nice having more power and i'd rather something more comfortable.

Triumph sprint or a BMW maybe.

It feels very large and heavy. The power makes you giggle. It handles well enough but its a bike you have to MAKE turn..it doesnt just go lightly like the ninjette. Look at the weights of the TLR and it shouldnt surprise you. Good bang for the buck and they are increasingly rare.

Google tlzone or tlplanet for more info.

Yes,
I have a 2009 1300 FJR which I ride all over the country. My 1998 1100 MotoGuzzi is my weekend ride of choice for 200-400 mile local rides. My daily ride is my 08 Ninjette, absolute favorite for rides around town, commuting and short weekend rides. I love the little bike.

The 250 is a great bike and the main reason I bought one after selling my 2000 ZZR250 years ago, is to try to slow down on the street, plus the price on my mint 2009 was a steal. Here it is with my 2003 ZX-6R and 2006 CRF450R. I also have a 2007 DR-Z400SM and used to own a 1999 SV650S, 2003 VFR800, 2004 ZX-6RR racebike, and 2005 GSX-R600. I have seat time on quite a few other 600s and literbikes but prefer riding smaller bikes.

I fit my bike and my wife's car (Scion xB) into our one assigned parking spot and no one has ever said anything about it. It's annoying having to take it out in the morning though and it takes me longer to get everything to ready to leave than it actually takes me to get to work each morning

yup! i have my bike behind my car when i know ill ride it everyday. tomorrow it's gonna snow, so i put it in front of the car for easy access to the car (feels so slow now lol). gotta be careful though, i accidentally tapped my beloved bike when pulling back in!! no damage to the bike but the metal peg feeler put a little mark on my front bumper haha - fortunately i don't care about my car anymore, just my green baby

I have a an older 550cc sport/tourer ; an '82 Yahama Vision besides my 1999 Ninja 250. The Vision is much faster and had tons more low-end torque than the Ninja but, to me , the Ninja is as much or more fun to ride. If I could only own one bike, the Ninja would be it. They are just flat out great bikes; good handling and brakes and enough power to be fun. They also very tough machines and have the potential to deliver great fuel economy.

1947 knuckle head and 2006 Street Glide and sadly, yes they are faster ( in a straight line) than my 250.

Well I sold my 07 250 I regret that and while I'm looking for another 250 if I find a sv650 or bandit 1200 for around my 2200 limit I'm gonna buy that instead of the 250
