Pre-gen kickstand on new-gen?

Hi, I went down yesterday

I lost the kickstand spring, I'm pretty sure the stand itself is actually ok. The sensor is messed too, I'll probably bypass it for the time being.

Prime question - Is the old gen's kickstand compatible with the new gen?
If not, is the spring on the oldgen kickstand compatible with the new one? Thanks.

I never tried it... but i'm sure someone here could sell you one.

i think the old gen spring works but i'm not sure if the kickstand itself is the same.

I would have to say your success at using the old side stand on a new gen bike would be limited at best. There are some differences that would concern me, angle being at the top of the list of concerns.

New gen on the left, pregen on the right.

The springs may interchange though. If you need a pic of those side by side, let me know.

New gen spring is in my hand. I would have to say the spring looks very compatible, I say go for it.

Thanks SO much for your time and effort. The old gen spring snapped right on and I bypassed the sensor. I still need turn signals but she is running again! Hammered out the shift lever to bend it in place too haha.

Don't be ashamed, I was more worried about the bike than myself most of the time too LOL. I'm okay thank you, I got very lucky. Lowside at around 40-45. Some road rash, nothing broken or fractured. Neck/back got a bit sore too after impact. Very grateful, grateful for the extent of the damage on the bike too. Thanks again boss <3
