Track day, Race starts and a funny bike?

Alright so i attended the West Coast Super Bike School with the WMRC at mission raceway and had an awesome time with a lot of great riders and bikes.

My issue is that after a day of racing and about 10 practice race starts (with cool down time in between) I was heading home on the highway and at about 120km/h in sixth the bike would not accelerate or increase in rpm. (stuck at about 9.5 - 10k rpm. When i roll on the gas it would stick at about 9500 rpm and every second or so give a little jump or jolt for a sec and speed up. Maybe the clutch? the bike is at 10 000 km.

Anyone know whats up? I'm about to go out to try and do it again.

thx.

Clutch would typically come with increased revs and no increase of speed.

yeah when stuck at 9500rpm every few moments the speed and rpm would jump then settle back down.

If it ran fine before,

Cross your fingers it's on of these
Main jet has some debris lodged in it
Vac line may have come off or leaking
Spark plug loose/wires
Fuel system problem, petcock, filter or line pinched or whatnot

Hope it's not
Valve problem
Hole in piston
Spark plug threads loose
Head gasket issues

Oh I think you mean a stutter, one shim/returning to stock would be on my list too.

ALright! pulled it all apart and after removing the shims noticed a quarter sized clip from some luggage straps i had stored in the tail section, LODGED IN THE SNORKEL! pulled em out, cleaned the filter and fired it up for a test drive and everything is mostly hunkydory.
Still going to go through the plugs and sync the carbs. Moral of the story, Careful what you put in your tail!!!!

I read a similar story but it was gummy bears lodged in the snorkel.
