New User from Massachusetts!
Hello all. I just got my first ever motorcycle, a black 2009 Ninja 250. I've only taken it up and down my driveway so far, as I'm waiting for the title to arrive so I can register it. Already like it, though!

Ready for battle.
Thanks for all the warm welcomes. I'm scheduled to take my safety course on May 1st and 2nd. I do have a long driveway, but only long enough for 1st gear. So far I've still gone faster on my bicycle than my motorcycle! I have plenty of armor plating, as I am close enough to Boston to be on the fringes of the "Retahd Zone." I have a jacket with all kinds of pads and plates and whatnot, a pair of Draggin' Jeans with some plastic inserts, a full-face helmet, and gloves.

I think just about everywhere in MA can be considered a retahd zone. Whether I'm in my car or on the bike there has to be at least 2-3 dumb drivers on my commute to work everyday. MA makes good use of the 2-4-12, use the advice of the MSF wisely. Always drive like someone in a car is going to do something stupid because more often than not they will.

LOL, yeah , remember the MSF saying "protect your lane"? I've learned that one the hard way at intersections waiting at red lights.Too far left, or too far right and some Retahd wants to sneak by you. Ninja 250's dont take up a lot of room so pretend your a big truck and dont let anyone by, if your in the right place, no retahd will try! hahahahha.can you tell I had a fun ride today?

Ya I was riding back home today and some douchbag in an acura was trying to go around me cause I was close to the center line. So I moved over to the middle and just stared at him. The worse in MA is yield signs, its like they just don't exist and people blow through them

Another MA rider... I'm going to have to organize a 250 meet one day this summer or something. Welcome! Still waiting for street sweepers to clean up all the sand and salt left on the streets. If you ever need help with something with the bike, this is the place to be and to ask for knowledgeable help.

I just passed my BRC test! I should have my full license soon. I find it strange and a little scary that you can go from zero to full motorcycle license with just two days of on-bike time, but the course was very informative and lots of fun. It is now officially *killing me* to not have the title to my bike yet, but it should be here in a week or so. Thanks again for all the warm welcomes!

I thought the same thing, as I had never stepped on any type of motorcycle before I took the course. But they did a good job progressing from one thing to the next
