My newly crashed new bike
Wasn't sure on whether to post this here or in the picture forum, as it's sorta a discussion I guess?
A discussion on how to not customize your bike?? Was turning right at night, hit some gravel mid corner resulting in the rear end sliding out and me going down. I came out alright, bike has a few more scrapes then me though. Was AATGATT (Almost all the gear all the time), wasn't wearing proper riding pants which resulted in my knee being nicely swollen. It's not fun walking up and down stairs now. Pictures show most of the damage. Only thing you can't really see is the borked mirrors and bent rear brake lever. And don't be fooled by this ultra realistic drawing, it is not an actual picture of the crash as it happened. It is merely a representation done by a skilled professional. |

Be glad it wasn't a custom chopper or a plastic clad sportbike. That would have been a bigger repair bill!
Glad you are ok for the most part!

Glad to hear you are ok. Like mark said, be glad it was your dual sport. Kind of gives it some character and street cred

Character and street cred?
My 250 had way more of that. Thankfully not done by me though. Whenever people asked I just tell them I binned it while doing a 160mph wheelie. |

I'm with Alex and Oscar: It's a dualie, it's supposed to look like that! You're just breaking it in, right!? j/k ! !
Seriously, It's always a bummer to dump your bike. Hope your knee gets better soon.

Sorry to hear about that, but it is a Dual glad you came out fairly unhurt, just think it could have been worse... I have extra hardware in my arm (titanium plate with 5 SS screws) due to falling off mountain bike when I came across a patch of gravel on the road

Suzuki DR650s were made to get beat up. Dust it off, make sure the mechanicals are okay and get back on. I have been down twice on a Suzuki DR200. Once while trying to climb an impossible hill, and once just being plain stupid. Glad you're ok.
