Aloha and welcome, Bob.

Once you get your bike, you'll be around the board a lot more than you think. These bikes are addicting.

hope you find a great deal!

Welcome to the site!! I know when I first found this place, I was really hoping it wasn't like the other forums I joined. I had been to some that hadn't been active in a year....some 2. This place is great! And great people! You will be happy you joined. They have advice on everything and are super helpful!

Hope you enjoy it too....I'm sure you will!

Pretty much. Color schemes have changed each year, but it's pretty much the same bike. The two differences I'm aware of other than color is that the battery may be slightly larger on the 2009's and later compared to the 2008's, and the stock tires in the US changed from Bridgestones or Dunlops to IRC's in 2009.

Welcome! 08 has Dunlops (at least mine does). Also, the exhaust changed from chrome to matte black. This forum is definitely busy. I'll mark all posts as read and a couple days later there'll be a few hundred unread posts. Great people and great advice.
